So after you do all of the stuff at the CNPP with Chernobog and return to your faction base(in my case Duty) your faction leader tells you that the prisoner of war you extracted the info from in Limansk has asked to see you when he arrived there.
Where is he? I have been walking around Rostok for about 15 minutes now but i can't find a trace of this guy as there is no quest marker guiding me and Voronin told me no other info than "He asked about you when he arrived" so that doesn't help either.

Having troubles with Mark Switch mod download or the mod itself is busted?

1. Download the mod manually from this link
2. Rename your archive like that: Mark-Switch-10-GAMMA-ver.
3. Place it into [Your Gamma]\downloads folder, replace if needed.
4. Open Gamma Launcher and press Install/Update GAMMA

IF it's your first installation, leave all boxes CHECKED.
If your mod is busted, UNTICK Check MD5 and Force git download (OR follow instructions provided by a Helper)

5. Wait for the install to end.

Hello i have a question that i cant find answer to anywhere. Is there a way to significantly reduce or even better straight remove the "static/grainy" effect you get when you are in radiation area? I would much prefer i if simply would hear the geiger clicks. It would make the game more immersive and well... less ugly, i dont like that effect at all. I checked the settings ingame and just didnt find anything... maybe mess around the files and delete something? Help is apreciated.

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First close the GAMMA launcher.
2. Go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe as administrator.
3. Copy and paste the following command:

4. Now close git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.

hi guys , i have some problem with my shaders and textures in gamma
i installed clean anomaly gamma , but in game the textures of the grass seem to be blurred after a couple of meters, also with the trees. On the cordon, the lighting may flash when aiming. I tried to just change the ssao settings to low, but with such changes I got a black screen where the shaders stupidly did not load or textures, I do not know (but they were noticeable at maximum brightness)

also here on the shotgun you can see an unpleasant black reflection at the end of the front sight, this is probably also due to shader problems

I reinstalled the shaders again, I updated the user.ltx file from gamma_patches, but it didn't help. setting the SSS settings to the maximum also didn't help

If you get the error 1311 "The application made a call that is invalid...", try the following in order until the error is resolved:

1. Try restarting your PC.
2. If restarting your PC does not help, try disabling the applications with overlay (Discord, MSI Afterburner, etc.) as well as applications like Wallpaper Engine etc.
3. If disabling software does not help, temporarily switch to DirectX 8 / DirectX 9 (use !dx in #🤖bot-commands for instructions on how to switch).

After a certain amount of time, you can try to revert the changes and switch to DirectX 11. The bug may be fixed.

I removed all cooldowns for fast travel but when i use it it is not available for use again not sure why

i did goof up the original installation by failing to update to the v6.7 launcher, installing some of the mods through the 6.6, realizing i goofed up, and correctly installing the 6.7 and continued to re-install all the mods

Do you have a good CPU? Use AVX (if you have a crash, it probably means your CPU doesn't support this function).
Do you have a good GPU? DON'T use AVX.
Do you have both? Try for yourself, see what's better.

Actual explanation:
AVX is a way for your CPU to do calculations on a large array of data simultaneously. This is the same kind of job GPUs are primarily meant for.
So if your GPU is decent, AVX is (in most cases) outclassed by the GPU itself. Best way to know which is better for you, personally, is to try both versions and see what does or doesn't crash/performs better.

Just installed GAMMA. When I try to start it without any modification, I get a shader cache compilation error. I use linux with gamma-launcher, so I follow the guide to remove reshade and the relative shaders. Even after doing so, I still get a shader compilation error. Thank god, you led me on the track to solve this. It's not removing core0 that is problematic for me. I had restricted Anomaly EXEs to cores 6,8,10 on my 12 cores (Xeon X5650), to avoid hyper-threading. I set it back to 6,7,8,9,10,11, and now it launches. @unborn elbow can you push this to the FAQ ?

EDIT : for those who'll ask, I don't use cores 0 to 5 because I set my OBS Studio on 2-5, in order to not overlap with games running. Also, core 0-1 are let to Windows for a fully operationnal system. Most of games don't require that much CPU power, so it's fine. And OBS can run on 4 cores, even on 2.

Hi! i've installed gamma and whenever i try to run it i get an error saying i'm missing the aug_9mm_new_sounds.ltx file. Hi everyone,
i write this to know if you experience the same optimisation issues due to old Stalker Xray Engine or if it's my (very) old configuration which is guilty, here it is:

• i5-760 first gen 2.8Ghz 4 cores/4 threads with no AVX support, no multithread
• 16Go memory DDR3
• Nvidia GTX 1070
• windows 10
• SSD Evo
• anomaly 1.5.3 and GAMMA with january 2025 update

I left the game for 8 month ago because it is started to be unplayable, to many time in loadings time. Gradualy with the progression in the adventure (maybe ~40 hours, maybe more), i experienced very long loading times, even when i load an innocent quick save, screen stuck ~20/~30 seconds before loading screen appears and started to load something, especialy in maps like army warehouse (where i have 95% of my storage equipment). Took a look in the log and i deduced from it Xray-engine loads all objects on map and destroyed it one by one when i reload a quick save, and it started to be unplayable, with ~1min40 loading-times for a quick save..
i noticed DirectX9 load slighly faster but i don't know what to do with this information, especialy since the last Anomaly update because only DirectX11 works on my config now (DX10 produces black-screen and DX9 now seems to be incompatible with some mod's shadders). Let's add my proc does not support AVX and multithreading.

Does somebody experience same thing or it just my outdated PC config which amplifies an old XrayEngine optimization problem which is not designed to deal with all new objects added in G.A.M.M.A ?

3. Open the GAMMA Launcher
4. (optional) Disable "force git download" and "force zip extraction". This will make it go quicker.
5. Click "Install / Update" and wait for it to finish completely.
