Hello I can't complete the Fanatic's tutorial quest, like I got the artifact inside the container and I got the quest marker on Fanatic but when I talk to him I only got the regular dialogue options and the quest marker disappear. I replaced the folder, it wasnt the problem. I played 1000+ hours with GAMMA placed on Program Files folder.
I put this Red Forest problem aside for a bit.
I thought I'd go to Radar to turn off the Brain Scorcher, i basically played whole day, 0 crash.
I've since gone to clear out Limansk, thought I'd try to enter the Red Forest from there... Same problem, same crash... 😦

I have one more issue it seems every time time load a save in army warehouses or try to transition to it from another area my game either freezes for 15-20 minutes and load in to freeze again for 5 minutes or so and plays normally or just straight up restarts my pc. @warm hull To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

I have 444 mods active, I am on Gamma Launcher version 6.7.0.0, there is one X next to one of the Disabled mods in the GAMMA DISABLED drop down in the MO2

Game is installed on main drive, exclusions were added, real time protection turned off. I think I did everything correctly this time

2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Issue Launching S.T.A.L.K.E.R. G.A.M.M.A. on Mac M2 Max via Parallels

I recently installed the latest version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. G.A.M.M.A. on my MacBook with an M2 Max chip. I am running the game through a Parallels virtual machine with Windows. While the installation process seemed to go smoothly, I encountered an issue when trying to launch the game.

After opening the launcher and starting the game, it fails to launch entirely — no error messages are displayed, and the game does not start.
However, if I run the base version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly directly (without G.A.M.M.A.), the game works perfectly.

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

@willow hawk found another stutter-inducing issue related to trader_autoinject.scipt - specifically the G.A.M.M.A. Weapon Pack
In function trade_manager.update(npc, force_refresh), there is this line

    -- sid/forester fix - check if close by and then run
    if furniture[npc:name()] and npc:position():distance_to(db.actor:position()) > 20 then return end

This basically means, as soon as the player approaches a trader it will spawn all the items for that trader. This will cause a pretty significant stutter if those resources haven't already been loaded. Removing this line fixes the issue because those items will spawn immediately for the trader when the player loads in.
Now, this line is fixing something - but I'm not sure what.

Usually you don’t have the rar file in the folder, also it’s recommended to use 7Zip and I’ve had multiple people in past tell me to use it over WinRar but I use WinRar and I’ve had no problems.

If we are able to determine what will be spawned in a level at the beginning of the level, there are LUA functions that allow you to prefetch resources. I think it works for models, not sure about textures.

If the resources are already loaded, then spawning anything is generally pretty fast, but still spawning many things in one frame can have an impact on FPS.

The thing is, there isn't a single script in GAMMA nor Anomaly/Stalker in general that uses net_relcase and honestly should never be used. Commenting CScriptBinder::net_Relcase(O); out fixes stuttering issues when objects need to disconnect themselves from each other. Again, no script uses net_relcase , ever.

Yup, but meatchunk isn't enough to reduce stutters in a lot of cases I've noticed though. More models, especially ones that ALife can just pick from, won't be saved by meatchunk.

What I want to experiment with is, can I just have ALife Online work on the entire level and just have it all loaded at the start.

The actual AI compute, in my profiling, has never really been an issue. It also happens in parallel while you are rendering, well parts of it at least.

I installed last night, was having this issue where the game would crash stating a scope shader wasn't found in the library. Ran GAMMA's MO2 as admin and it seemed to fix the issue. Started playing today and I keep getting it again. I start the a new game and get a fatal error from CResourceManager::_GetBlender. Xray-monolith ResourceManager.cpp, line 68, fatal error, Shader Models\scope_back not found in library. Again, people running into this issue elsewhere has stated that it's MO2 failing to merge files.

To manually reinstall problematic mods do this:

I updated to 0.9.3 and the game was running fine / like a week ago.

Took a break and now im just crashing everytime i try to load a save or start a new game.

Im open to any help man XD haha Im begging you guys

Remove zoom on right-click (ADS):

Mod Config Menu -> Free Zoom -> set ADS multiplier to 1
Remove FOV change on equipping pistols:
Mod Config Menu -> Free Zoom -> set pistol multiplier to 1
Sidenote: Check your HUD and HUD FOV sliders in Settings>Visual>Basic and set them back to default if Free Zoom messed them up.

Random question in regards to SSS, when I use the tilda key and command console to adjust the values listed in the description of the mod do they save forever?. Or when I clear my shader cache do I have to re-enter them all?.

Having troubles with 3DSS mod download or the mod itself is busted?

1. Download the mod manually from this link
2. Rename downloaded archive to 3DSS-for-GAMMA.zip
3. Place it into [Your Gamma]\downloads folder, replace if needed.
4. Open Gamma Launcher and press Install/Update GAMMA

IF it's your first installation, leave all boxes CHECKED.
If your mod is busted, UNTICK Check MD5 and Force git download (OR follow instructions provided by a Helper)

5. Wait for the install to end.
