Thunderstorm causes extreme blindness.

I've reinstalled the game, and the same thing persists.

Turn grass density to about half, and then turn the distance to 70.

Save and restart. See if that helps. The grass will CHUG your game.

Make sure SMAA and Antialiasing aren't turned on at the same time.

@willow hawk While I have you here. I upgraded from 1080p to 1440p and the GAMMA loading screen isn't HD enough for me. (Sorry, not complaining. I'm just a texture hog.) Any suggestions on any mods that "remaster" the loading screen? Doesn't have to be GAMMA per se, but anything that looks crisp. 🙂 (Unless there's a 2k version of the loading screen hiding somewhere?)

Yo! Got a problem with a crash on starting a new game, could anyone help me with this?

• 1.5.2 installed,
• Running the latest GAMMA launcher,
• Both Anomaly and GAMMA are on the root of my F:\ drive,
• exactly 444 mods (running vanilla),
• no X on any of the mod entries.

Reinstalled 2 times. Even used 2 different devices. Getting the same error on both of them. Standard Anomeme works fine

@austere canyon Anomaly has a limit of a total of 65535 objects (IDs) in the game. Whenever the game engine generates a new enemy with items, it tags the object ID number to the enemy unit and its items.
The same goes for traders & their items, every time you interact with the trader and visit a new place and kill an enemy and check their loot, you make the game engine generate ID numbers. If that ID number reaches 65535, the game crashes, and you won't be able to play anymore on that same game file, unless you "free" some IDs.
You can lower the amount of used IDs by letting items despawn or by selling/donating them at any trader.

Scroll down and download dxvk-2.3.tar.gz then open it like a .zip file.
Double click the .tar file inside to open it like a folder, then keep going until you can open the x64 folder.
Take all the .dll files from inside the x64 folder and place them in \Anomaly\bin and overwrite.

For older GPUs and very old drivers (below: NVIDIA: 510.47.03 or AMD: 22.0) use this version instead: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases/tag/v1.10.3

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Remove zoom on right-click (ADS):

Mod Config Menu -> Free Zoom -> set ADS multiplier to 1
Remove FOV change on equipping pistols:

• Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !antivirus;
• Exclude both your Anomaly and Gamma folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !defender;
• Once the above steps are done, ensure you have the latest launcher as seen in #💽how-to-update and start it as administrator.

If the above steps still do not solve your issue, then verify your hosts file by going to #🤖bot-commands and typing !hosts. If that still does not work then connect to a VPN and try again.

Originally the launcher would get the game up and I could get to character creation but the names of guns in the creation menu we strings of code instead of their item names, I would set up the character but wouldn't load me into a world and would crash promptly after finishing the character setup. I was playing, about 30 hours in, and gamma crashed and I got to pop up from Windows security saying they blocked part of the app because I couldn't verify where it was from and even after turning antivirus off and making sure that my folders were still in exclusion anomaly will not launch anymore

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

That's likely problems caused by "Overdrive" on your monitor, which attempts to improve the latency of your monitor. Root through the settings of your monitor and see if that's on.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

I've installed latest updates and I have 444 mods however when im at sydorowich basement or any kind of building the game is smooth as it should be yet when I go outside the framework rates drop significantly and the game is unplayable. That's more of a thing for #╟🔰☢newbies-chat, not a technical issue. Anyway, the further north/into harder territories you get, the higher chance to get higher quality toolkits in the stashes from those areas you sometimes learn locations of as a quest reward or while looting dead stalkers

A common issue and sadly, hard to get over - it's just that GAMMA is very demanding compared to base STALKER due to all the content, shaders and whatnot. You can try going through steps at #╰⚡fps-optimisation to fix it up a bit. Grok sometimes optimizes things a bit as well, but it's sadly less of a priority than folks with weaker PCs would like compared to some new content, bugfixes and, apparently nowadays, a lot of balancing
