Because G.A.M.M.A. is STILL IN BETA.

Might've been a random crash. Reboot your PC maybe, but if it keeps happening, try !dx9 in MO2 and play on DX9, seeing as you're on a laptop.

• Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !antivirus;
• Exclude both your Anomaly and Gamma folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !defender;

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

I did instal the update when I first started downloading everything but it was weird because when I extracted the update into the anomaly folder it didn't replace any items

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.
