@hexed warren To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

hello everyone. i've updated my game today to read 444 mods and its working great. But my problem is that everytime i try to load into or transition to Jupiter it crashs and tells me to check the game logs for details. The log file is extensive with details and not sure where exactly it is capturing the info of the crash. Someone was helping me with this but it was to late at night. They asked me for the crash, my pc specs and a snapshot of the crash log.

Do you have a good CPU? Use AVX (if you have a crash, it probably means your CPU doesn't support this function).
Do you have a good GPU? DON'T use AVX.
Do you have both? Try for yourself, see what's better.

Actual explanation:
AVX is a way for your CPU to do calculations on a large array of data simultaneously. This is the same kind of job GPUs are primarily meant for.
So if your GPU is decent, AVX is (in most cases) outclassed by the GPU itself. Best way to know which is better for you, personally, is to try both versions and see what does or doesn't crash/performs better.

@shell storm To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Ok doing so now. I've done what another helper told me to do which was run the game without AVX. It acted differently hanged quite a bit and gave me another crash text. Which was that and putting this down just letting you know. This is where im at at the moment.

  • Do you have sufficient permissions on your drive? Are you the admin? If the answer is "yes", are you sure 100%?
  • Try to run Mod Organizer 2 as admin

you may have to reinstall gamma with your antivirus disabled. i had the same exact issue when i used the launcher to update. i would reinstall gamma if i were you because your active mod list is incorrect.

  2. Save your GAMMA\downloads folder.
  3. Nuke the rest of what's inside your GAMMA folder (mtab is okay to delete)
  4. Properly use 7-Zip to extract GAMMA
  5. Go into the GAMMA Launcher, press First Install Initialization to point MO2 at your Anomaly folder
  6. Place the downloads folder back in
  7. Install/Update GAMMA to let the mods install again.

2) Copy these four folders (check pic)

To bring your mod list, settings and keybinds back to default, inverting any changes made by you:

  1. Open the G.A.M.M.A. Launcher with admin rights
  2. Uncheck every box EXCEPT Delete Reshade DLLs
  3. Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A

Note: If you wish to keep your keybinds and graphical settings, go to Anomaly\appdata and backup user.ltx.

  • Increase texture detail to 3/4 or 4/4, or enter texture_lod 0 in the in-game console, and then restart the game.

If the steps from above didn't work, try this fix instead:

  1. Download the mod from #πŸ”¨base-gamma-support message
  2. In Mod Organizer 2, click on File -> Install mod
  3. Find wherever you saved the Jubs_Low_Texture_Red_Dots.rar file.
  4. Click β€œOK”. Name it however you want. It will be at the very end of the mod list.

1.) Go to your GAMMA\downloads folder and delete Atmospherics_GAMMA_x.x.zip (x.x. means version number, and yes delete them all if you have multiple of those zip files)

  1. Collapse the categories in MO2, by sorting mods by Priority and close the categories by using the arrows on the left side (first picture for reference below).
  2. Screenshot your MO2 by using Shift + Win + S.

My emissions are still not working (its been 6 ingame days)
Both fixes did not work: Hex editor showed that my save is ok in terms of "allow_surge", and the debug line "run_string task_defense.barrier_defense_zombie_complete()" did not help. Any insight please
ps: The emissions are missing completly except the after sleep or on fast travel messages.

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

  1. First try to close the Gamma launcher, and run it as administrator again, click install/update and see if the error is gone.
  2. If it doesn’t work, close Gamma launcher and go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and launch git-bash.exe
  3. Copy and paste the indicated command line from the gamma launcher black window ('git config --global --add ...') to the git-bash.exe window and press enter. (picture for reference below.)
  • Note: Pay attention to what you copy, if the line has spaces in-front, or is missing characters at the end, the fix will not work.
  1. Now close the git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.
  2. You might have to do this for the 3 git folders, aka:
  • Stalker_GAMMA
  • gamma_large_files_v2

Hey Guys, for some time I've been running into an odd issue upon level transition. Without any clear reason, my pc reboots and my saves get corrupted citing"no player attribute" found relating to the files.

Upon checking event log this is what I see. I looked thorugh the game log, but didn't find anything of note - hs anyone seen this one before?

I'm running Win 10 Ultimate, latest drivers and updates included. Clean install of GAMMA results in the same.

If I may weigh in as an IT guy, most of the time when your system tries to load something and throws a kernel error, there's something wrong with your windows install, or your disc is fragmented.

Yeah that's also likely, you should be able to see your heat level of your GPU in task manager -> performance, for CPU I think you need a third party program, which I wouldn't recommend.

I'd recommend checking your manufacturer's website(s) for a CPU/GPU performance interface (just make sure not to accept the bloatware they sometimes try to install) and see if you're getting high temps.
Generally the only thing going on in the kernel is windows, not much else, and I'm pretty sure anomaly/GAMMA isn't running EAC or a similar ring 0 AC so that shouldn't be causing issues. @unborn sphinx

Like grim said, reminder that tarkov is only a resource hog when it comes to CPU and RAM, and for RAM only cause the guys don't know how to prevent a memory leak and haven't fixed it for the past 10 years.

But with all things considered, I assume it's some sort of gamma specific thing, possibly the drive where you have it installed has some trouble trying to read the new level, or your GPU trying to load it runs into some sort of issue.

As said above gamma can't physically access your kernel, but can cause kernel issues, which 99% of the time means something within windows, since windows components are the only thing that runs down there.
I'd just check out your temps, how your CPU/GPU runs and such with HWInfo like the other helper suggested, and possibly reinstall gamma (I think you can backup all your saves, not sure though) before trying to fully reinstall windows.

If you do go the nuclear route, make sure to download the windows installer from the official website onto a thumb drive and install it from there, not just "reinstall" from your system as that can often lead to having the same problem again.
