What to do if MO shows 0 mods ?

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so.

If you're not blocked:
2. Open your GAMMA Launcher and check if you have the latest launcher, which is 5.0.0.0.

If you don't have it, go in #🤖bot-commands, type !50 and follow 2), 3) and 4) of the steps, then continue with this guide
3. Disable antivirus temporarily
4. In Windows Defender, add Anomaly and G.A.M.M.A. folders to Exclusions:
Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Exclusions
5. Open GAMMA Launcher as admin
6. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

2. Download the mod file(s) from moddb. DO NOT EXTRACT.
3. Place every archive you downloaded into your \GAMMA\downloads folder. Overwrite if needed.
4. Run the GAMMA Launcher as admin. Make sure only “Force zip extraction” is enabled.
5. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

@earnest merlin you want to fix that BaS red flag so that you don't have any missing model crashes later in the game or if an NPC spawns with that weapon

i just reinstalled the mod and replaced so there is no flag now ... also i did the hideout red flag fix before so it was flagged and i also tried to change the controls to different keys, the problem is i can change the advance menu on hideout fur mod but mouse commands are not working :/

apart from that, I used the debug to check some weapons and stuff, after that, never touched the settings in game

3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

Yesterday I started playing GAMMA, was quite fun but when I came back to it later the same day I ran into this issue. I decided to make a new game as I didn't care much if I lost everything. Today, I come back to my save and I do some have some bit of progress which I want to keep. Please, how do I fix it? Restarting my game doesn't work and I don't remember that re-loading my save worked either.

it's apparently related to something people reported there already, just like NPCs apparently can pick up weapons in gun racks and they get a 100% condition copy of said weapon, the player too can hold F and approach the racks and get the weapons in 100% condition. if you open the gun rack inventory you can see the original weapons in it, and if you pick them up into your inventory the "perfect copies" disappear.

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin
2. Enable the top 4 boxes under the installation buttons, make sure they're selected
3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

You have to reinstall Anomaly, follow these instructions:

1. Add your Anomaly folder to your antivirus exceptions. For Windows Defender, do as instructed here: #🖥️how-to-install message

2. Now delete all the content inside your Anomaly installation folder.
3. Move both the Anomaly 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 update .zip files into the now clean Anomaly folder.
   🔹 If you don't have both Anomaly 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 .zip files, download them again from Moddb or get them by typing !torrent in #🤖bot-commands
4. Right click the 1.5.1 zip file and hover over "7-Zip", then select "Extract Here".
5. Then, right click the 1.5.2 update zip file and hover over "7-Zip", then select "Extract Here".
6. Launch Anomaly, once you get to the main menu, exit the game.
7. Go to your G.A.M.M.A. folder and delete the ModOrganizer**.ini** file, found right under the ModOrganizer**.exe**.
8. Now, always inside your G.A.M.M.A. folder, go inside the .Grok's Modpack Installer folder and open the G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin, press First Install Initialization and select your Anomaly folder in the popup, don't open it, you just need to select folder.
9. Untick/deselect all the options under the Install/Update G.A.M.M.A. button and press it to install and finish.

twice now i have looted UNISG stalkers wearing Nosorogs and when i open their inventory i see the Nosorog for a split second and then it disappears leaving a big empty space in their inventory. I've noticed it a few times before with other armor but these couple of times are pretty heartbreaking. is this some bug or is it GAMMA culling loot to slow progress and just not removing the items fast enough.

Do you have a good GPU? DON'T use AVX.
Do you have both? Try for yourself, see what's better.

Actual explanation:
AVX is a way for your CPU to do calculations on a large array of data simultaneously. This is the same kind of job GPUs are primarily meant for.
So if your GPU is decent, AVX is (in most cases) outclassed by the GPU itself. Best way to know which is better for you, personally, is to try both versions and see what does or doesn't crash/performs better.

yep the "Enable this if you stutter" mod only shrinks the perimeter around you which loads offline life in, and if enabled can improve FPS but can actually cause more periodic hitching so it's not really relevant to your issue

Hello! so I've been trying to get Stalker Gamma to run on my steam deck, so far the game seams to launch and perform well until I tried removing reshade, then I get a shader compilation error if I keep Beef's NVG mod enabled. I tried reinstalling the mod with the ES patch this following step 9 in this guide: https://github.com/maxastyler/S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-Gamma-Steam-Deck-Install-Guide/blob/master/README.org, however it still seems to cause the issue. Is there something I can do to this specific mod to make it work?

Say if I delete whatever is in the shader folder for the mod in its specific folder would it still work?

they don't really do anything and if they do their effect is so minute it doesn't even cause any performance hits where it should (1-2 FPS difference at worst)

like Tessellation should be a moderate performance hit if used to its fullest extent

i was licking walls for about 20 minutes trying to figure out if Tessellation or Detail Bump changed the textures at all and came to the conclusion they haven't and that's the general consensus in the community as well

set it back to its default value under Settings > Visual which is 85 i believe

If you have already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

2. Open the archive, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)

if you don't have the MO2 modloader you should download it now and proceed with the installation (i don't know how base Anomaly works in that regard); once you're done, enter the main screen, press Ctrl + M (or click on the first button in the toolbar) and point to the unextracted archive, then install the mod and toggle it on

alternatively, if you want to do the "brute forced" overwrite way, extract the folder, then overwrite the files it tells you to overwrite inside the game directory (it will probably be the gamedata folder inside)

Start a new game and see if you get shader compilation failed again

If that doesn’t work, backup and delete user.ltx in appdata, delete shader cache again and launch the game.

You can play it if you really want to, but forget about #🔨base-gamma-support, this channel support is only for G.A.M.M.A. vanilla (which basically means no extra stuff at all) and is also used by Grok for bug fixing.
Since G.A.M.M.A. vanilla doesn't use Warfare, you'll need to use #🔨modded-gamma-support.
