Just a guess, but from experience playing Anomaly and/or GAMMA, I don't think that light going under doors when light is at a certain angle, can be avoided. The doors and thresholds, and most walls, actually have very small seams between then and the floor, this can even be abused to detect enemy NPCs with helmet lights on crouching

looks like you mess up the modpack there's no other solution other than reinstalling the game. or wait if there wizard pass by and came up with solution.

2) Go to GAMMA/.Grok's Modpack Installer/GAMMA/modpack_data/
3) Copy this file: modlist.txt
4) Paste it in here and replace the existing file: [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]/profiles/G.A.M.M.A.. If you don't have a G.A.M.M.A. folder in profiles - create it.
5) Now launch MO2 again
6) Select profile: G.A.M.M.A.

@jaunty plank To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Base G.A.M.M.A. is considered to be the G.A.M.M.A. modpack as it comes. This means you have #πŸ“577-mods-in-mo2 and have NOT enabled or disabled any of those, have NOT enabled any animations in MCM, and have NOT downloaded extra mods of your own.

@jaunty plank To bring your mod list, settings and keybinds back to default, inverting any changes made by you:

1) Open the G.A.M.M.A. Launcher with admin rights
2) Uncheck every box
3) Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A

Note: If you wish to keep your keybinds and graphical settings, go to Anomaly\appdata and backup user.ltx.

If you crash upon changing your resolution in game, you can change it before launching the game. In Anomaly/appdata/user.ltx look for the vid_mode line and change it to the resolution you like.

@upbeat vector If you have the OpenAL: Failed to create context error, you can try these fixes:

  • Re-plug in your headphones or speakers before you start the game
  • Play any kind of music or sound file as you open the game, e.g. music on your PC or on Youtube
  • Change your audio device in Windows
  • Enable Instant Replay in Shadowplay, apparently?

I have some really weird issues with the enemy AI, I tried fresh install, tried with the current save, they all seem to push/rush you and when they get in close range, they either spray you or just sit and do nothing. Also when coming from the red forest to radar, I think all the monolith are getting aggro'd all the way down the ramp towards the east side of the map

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so.

If you're not blocked:
2. Open your GAMMA Launcher and check if you have the latest launcher, which is 5.0.0.0.

If you don't have it, go in #πŸ€–bot-commands, type !50 and follow 2), 3) and 4) of the steps, then continue with this guide
3. Disable antivirus temporarily
4. In Windows Defender, add Anomaly and G.A.M.M.A. folders to Exclusions:
Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Exclusions
5. Open GAMMA Launcher as admin
6. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

@normal crest To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.

The file is inside your Anomaly folder, this is the complete path:

This is what you could find:

  1. xray_yournamehere.txt
  2. xray_yournamehere.log
  3. xray_yournamehere without any file extension

You just need to send ONE of these files where it was asked. It's either ONE file with .txt OR .log OR with nothing at the end. DON'T send anything with .bkp at end.

Drag and drop the file inside the Discord channel, Discord will handle it for you.
Make sure you're not using any extra mods, if you do, you'll need to ask in #πŸ”¨modded-gamma-support.

Don't verify stuff with the Anomaly Launcher, you're using Mod Organizer 2 to launch the game and to manage the mods used in GAMMA.
The error you'll get is harmless and doesn't mean anything, that's not the problem you have with your game.

@north turret G.A.M.M.A. isn't built with Warfare in mind and Warfare, per se, have bad perfomance, bugs, issues, etc., this is why it isn't recommended.
You can play it if you really want to, but forget about #πŸ”¨base-gamma-support, this channel support is only for G.A.M.M.A. vanilla (which basically means no extra stuff at all) and is also used by Grok for bug fixing.
Since G.A.M.M.A. vanilla doesn't use Warfare, you'll need to use #πŸ”¨modded-gamma-support.

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so.

If you're not blocked:
2. Open your GAMMA Launcher and check if you have the latest launcher, which is 5.0.0.0.

If you don't have it, go in #πŸ€–bot-commands, type !50 and follow 2), 3) and 4) of the steps, then continue with this guide
3. Disable antivirus temporarily

Hey there! I'm getting random Fatal Errors while playing. I'm on my third run since last year and these crashes are new to me. The only thing I changed is that I followed the "tutorial" for the Mags Redux mode to get them. Now I have 411 active mods. I can play but randomly crash when somebody shoots. For example, it happened when a stationary machinegun started shooting.

  • Re-plug in your headphones or speakers before you start the game
  • Play any kind of music or sound file as you open the game, e.g. music on your PC or on Youtube
  • Change your audio device in Windows

i just updated the game, ive been using the spas-12 pre update and the gun has changed in pretty much all of its looks with this update, but now i cant switch fire rate or fire the gun im just only able to unload and reload the gun - is there a fix for this

I'm trying to play at "DirectX 9 (Normal)" but every time i loaded up a save it turns into "DirectX 9 (Enhanced)".

I have tried to delete shader cache, user.ltx, and delete all saves, but none of them worked, any ideas?

I guess the SPAS-12 has select fire, so single like pump, or single like semi-auto. How could that break? Maybe having Gunslinger different from the parts in GAMMA, or maybe having an old separate mod for SPAS-12 with it interfering, dunno.

Im having a problem where my ads crosshair is offset to the top left. I already went to debug and reloaded the weapon hud. Im also having some audio problems whenever i make noise, the sound i make is drastically lowered. This includes shooting weapons, making footsteps, reloading etc. Anyone have fix?

you are using another BHS not the GAMMA one, I cannot tell if it is correct. Maybe that BHS mod has a dynahud patch, I don't know. What I know is that to work dynahud patched bhs has to override gamma bhs.
If you are playing and it's all working then I guess you are fine

If you have already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

  2. Open the archive, you'll see 4 folders and a text file

Hi, I'm new here. I just successfully installed the GAMMA and launched it for the first time. Then the first thing I changed was the resolution from 1024x780 to 2560x1440. Because this is how I was playing the Anomaly on the same PC. I can't get more than 38 FPS. Where as I am able to play Anomaly over 90 FPS on the same PC. I watched CheekiBreeki's video and lowered down some options, including changing shadow map from 2048 to 1536 in the launcher. Still couldn't get a single FPS gain. Also, I am waiting almost a whole minute when I first launch the game. And then another minute to load the starting map Cordon. Where as loading would take max 10 seconds in Anomaly. Is low FPS and slow laodings normal behavoiur in GAMMA?

When I try to take a screenshot with F12, it captures only UI.
When I try to take a screenshot with prt sc, it doesnt take a screenshot at all (despite getting pop up message).

1.) Go to your GAMMA\downloads folder and delete Atmospherics_GAMMA_x.x.zip (x.x. means version number, and yes delete them all if you have multiple of those zip files)

been playing for a min, now going from rostok to truck cemetery I get a crash on loading in. I did pick up a p90 but I left it in a stash in rostok, no clue why it do this but I can't load the autosave in truck booty and I cant reload in rostok and try to go back.

Hi, I'm new here. I just successfully installed the GAMMA and launched it for the first time. Then the first thing I changed was the resolution from 1024x780 to 2560x1440. Because this is how I was playing the Anomaly on the same PC. I can't get more than 38 FPS. Where as I am able to play Anomaly over 90 FPS on the same PC. I watched CheekiBreeki's video and lowered down some options, including changing shadow map from 2048 to 1536 in the launcher. Still couldn't get a single FPS gain. Also, I am waiting almost a whole minute when I first launch the game. And then another minute to load the starting map Cordon. Where as loading would take max 10 seconds in Anomaly. Is low FPS and slow laodings normal behavoiur in GAMMA?

@north turret You haven't updated Anomaly to version 1.5.2, this is why you have this error.
If you have already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

  1. Download the 1.5.2 update from here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
  2. Open the archive, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
  3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)
  4. DRAG AND DROP the content of this archive inside your Anomaly folder
  5. OVERWRITE EVERYTHING when asked to do so
  6. Open the G.A.M.M.A. launcher with admin rights
  7. Uncheck every box in the launcher
  8. Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

Dorito, that's been happening more to me i nthe last month of updates. In some cases, on some maps, you can go around and beyond the actual light blue arrow and get to things, via not going directly. In some other cases, you might be able to try a noclip console command maybe to get to the area thru the terrain, only after saving first, and I don't recall exactly how to do that. Sometimes you can use a different transition mod. So for example, by default GAMMA has mod 206 Areas transition without confirmation, that may allow you a second or two more travel to get the package.

Hey, so i installed the game and it seems fine and the mods are exactly 416 in MO2, and I can load into the game menus but as soon as I load into the actual game there's 2 problems. 1: The game is completely black and flashes white for DX versions 11 and 10 of the game but 9 and 8 is still normal, 2: after a couple seconds the game crashes and gives me an error message (image attached), would appreciate the help! :)

@fathom lion To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

  • Re-plug in your headphones or speakers before you start the game

Good evening I am having problem with what I presume is the busy-hand bug since I can't use my weapon and pda, I did what the bot recommended and its still there (If I have a primary and secondery weapon I can use the second weapon but not the primary weapon, and when I switch to the primary and back to secondery neither work anymore).

This is a small issue but very noticeable with the nvg, the lighting tends to flicker when i move at times

  • 2) Extract what you downloaded wherever you want

  • 3) Copy the gamedata folder you'll find inside

  • 4) Open your GAMMA RC3 folder and go to GAMMA RC3/Grok's Modpack Installer/GAMMA/modpack_addons

  • 5) Create a new folder exactly named 76- Boomsticks and Sharpsticks - Mich

  • 6) Paste the gamedata folder inside this newly created folder

  • 7) Now go to GAMMA RC3/mods and look for a folder called 76- Boomsticks and Sharpsticks - Mich.

  • If you have this folder - delete it, if you don't have it - skip this step.

  • 8) Open Gamma Launcher as Admin

  • 9) Uncheck every box, but leave Force zip extraction box checked.

  • 10) Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

@white stratus If you have the OpenAL: Failed to create context error, you can try these fixes:

  • Re-plug in your headphones or speakers before you start the game
  • Play any kind of music or sound file as you open the game, e.g. music on your PC or on Youtube
  • Change your audio device in Windows
  • Enable Instant Replay in Shadowplay, apparently?

1) Close MO2
2) Go to GAMMA/.Grok's Modpack Installer/GAMMA/modpack_data/
3) Copy this file: modlist.txt
4) Paste it in here and replace the existing file: [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]/profiles/G.A.M.M.A.. If you don't have a G.A.M.M.A. folder in profiles - create it.
5) Now launch MO2 again
6) Select profile: G.A.M.M.A.

getting very inconsistent fps, when removing the user.ltx and starting the game its fine, getting around 80-100 fps, but when restarting my pc and the game a few times it drops to the 30's for no reason.

Also gpu usage is around 60% after deleting the user.ltx, but at full load when im getting around 30ish
Vsync and fps limiters are off

its not my specs since im running:

  • R7 5700x
  • RX 6950xt
  • 32gb 3600MT/s CL16
  • Running the game on an SSD

anyone familiar with this:
i ran the brain scorcher, exited while the timer was running reentered, deactivated it and exited but its still active as soon as i load in the tunnel to antenna after the lab i get the message "psy damage from a brain machine" so i ran back in deactivated it again somehow i could flip the switch again with the action message disable brainscorcher got back out and its still active ?

atleast the sound and vision effects of it are gone, and the mission dissapeared dont even know who gave it to me to check if its done

I keep getting this issue when trying to load my save. I am able to start a new character, but not able to load my current save or any of the backups I made. I already reinstalled the GAMMA modpack through the launcher but it hasn't fixed the issue. What else can I try?
