To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

The file is inside your Anomaly folder, this is the complete path:
Anomaly/appdata/logs.

This is what you could find:

  1. xray_yournamehere.txt
  2. xray_yournamehere.log
  3. xray_yournamehere without any file extension

You just need to send ONE of these files where it was asked. It's either ONE file with .txt OR .log OR with nothing at the end.
DON'T send anything with .bkp at end.

Drag and drop the file inside the Discord channel, Discord will handle it for you.
Make sure you're not using any extra mods, if you do, you'll need to ask in #🔨modded-gamma-support.

1) Check you aren't blocked on moddb (go to https://moddb.com, if you don't have a giant red screen you are OK)
If you are blocked, wait out the timer + 40 minutes or use vpn.

You haven't updated to 1.5.2, that's why you're seeing this error.
If you already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

  2. Open the zip, you'll see 4 folders and a text file

Any quick way to make the MO2 prompts come back as the same time I launched it? I clicked somewhere else and it defaulted to Cyberpunk 2077, GAMMA is properly installed and it shows 358 mods in MO2, Anomaly gets launched without an issue through MO2, but the GAMMA main menu screen does not appear so I think MO2 is not loading them, the window also shows Cyberpunk 2077 - Mod Organizer v2.4.4

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

  • interact with objects or people
  • use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
  • open your inventory
  • drink/eat/sleep
  • check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

  • Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
  • Animation for skinning mutants
  • Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
  • Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

Hello ! I have done all the Strelok quest untill cnpp raid. I was just about to go there but noticed Stitch was dead and cant trackback with safe files. I have noticed there are a significant amount of radiation zones around that are not giving radiation, ppe effect or detected by dosimeter. In console, one line says "current hitter zone_radioactive_below_average" followed by the line "not valid field zone_radioactive_below_average". I figured maybe it was due to ZCP, so I disabled the dynamic radiation fields and started a new game. Still present. Then I thought maybe it is the DAO spawning them. But I cant disable old anomalies. Does anyone else experience this and know how to allow these? I have no clue why they wont work correctly. Have been having this issue since I started Gamma.

No its that the field for whatever reason is not being registered on some other end. The field comes up in the console log, and is a constant like normal, but there is 0 rads coming through, no ppe effect, and the dosimeter doesnt detect rads. Again, its no big deal I guess. Less radiation pockets. But Id like to figure this out if I could.

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so.

Then, do exactly this:

2. Disable antivirus temporarily
3. In Windows Defender, add Anomaly and Gamma folders to Exclusions:

Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Exclusions
4. Open GAMMA installer as admin

If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.

The file is inside your Anomaly folder, this is the complete path:
Anomaly/appdata/logs.

This is what you could find:

  3. xray_yournamehere without any file extension

You just need to send ONE of these files where it was asked. It's either ONE file with .txt OR .log OR with nothing at the end.
DON'T send anything with .bkp at end.

Drag and drop the file inside the Discord channel, Discord will handle it for you.

You can find tool kits ONLY inside stashes.

In the south part of the Zone (everywhere UNDER Red Forest) is where you'll find Basic and Advanced.
In the north part of the Zone (INSIDE Red Forest and ONLY NORTH from there) is where you'll find Expert, along the other two.
You also have the gunsmithing tool kit, which is used to craft ammunition of all kinds and you also have the drug making kit, used to create drugs and medicines.

Depending on the location, north or south:

White stashes have a small chance of finding ANY toolkit inside, this means that you can find ONE basic/advanced/expert toolkit OR a gunsmithing toolkit OR a drug making toolkit.

Green stashes have a 100% chance of finding ONE toolkit from this specific pool: Basic, Gunsmithing or Drug Making kit. Advanced and Expert are random and depend on the area the stash spawned in.

Couple of questions:

  • I can turn off the Dof via in-game console (the MCM option doesn't work), but it's always a temporary measure. Is there a way to make it so the setting is not overwritten upon relaunching the game?
  • I do get a bit of stutters even after turning off the effects (step 1). I tried doing the further steps but that locked me out of the game for trying; better not fiddle with MO2. Is there a way to disable core 0 permanently? And: can I touch the non-MCM graphics sliders?
    EDIT: It's worth saying I'm still in the swamp so other areas might be better with framerate.

I have a kind of weird stutter issue that im wondering if its just my hardware... somehow.

To explain, I dont have a full stutter. My game sound doesn't cut, but the its like I go from my regular frames to 1fps for about a 2 frames or so. Its noticable and annoying, but doesnt truly impact gameplay when you get down to brass tacks.

The reason why I'm wondering if it's just my hardware, is because i am currently running a purely AMD system. To further my confusion, this continues after doing the stutter fix.

Yes. I have no other mods, I recently reinstalled the game so I'm on full default, Turned on the "Turn this on". I lack an NVIDIA card, I did not do the Anomaly launcher, and i run dx11 by default on my games.

Not really.
You would want to move d3d9 dll and dxgi from anomaly/bin folder to somewhere else, for backup.

Then extract the d11 dll and dxgi from the tar.gz folder that's in the zip, into the anomaly/bin and then launch the game using the dx11

So this is not really an issue, just a general performance question: I'm running a smooth-ish 70-80-ish FPS. Doing the stuff in #old-framerate-optimisation doesn't yield much more FPS. What other settings have the most performance impact (for minor visual improvements) and should be turned down/disabled?

I'd like my 100+FPS back from CoP 😛

System is a 5700X, 32GB RAM, RTX 2070, everything's on an SSD.
Tried turning off SSAO and all AA, but that just makes the game look like ass, while the visuals are degraded compared to CoP, so I'd like those two back on...

I have made a discovery. The install disabled my key info, so I redid them. It allowed me to place initially by having “use” bound to f, but after my rebind, no dice.

When I changed it back to F? Gucci. So. Essentially all the “build your own base” stuff is hard bound to “use” as F

Welp, I ran onto a weird issue. My game crashes to desktop every time I try to aim a weapon with NVGs on. Enabled dev mode, tried plain irons, red dots, full on scopes, does not matter. I've disabled Beef's NVGs - no difference. I've ticked and unticked every box in MCM under Beef's NVGs, testing each one at a time. Still no difference.

I'm using a default modlist, except for a change in meat cooking recipes, and refillable canteens addon. Also, I've disabled every ReShade effect I could find, because it caused the game to be unplayable for me (framerate-wise)

may not be the right place but I can't even get Stalker Anomaly to open, when I run through the launcher, with all the correct setting, directx 11 selected (my installed version is 12 but that wouldn't effect it right?), support for avx CPU, screen res at 2560x1440, fullscreen. I have an I5 13600k, and a rtx 4080, so it shouldnt be an issue. However it gives me the AnomalyDX11AVX - Bad Image error twice with the same error status at the bottom: 0xc000012f. Any help would be appreciated 🙂

You haven't updated to 1.5.2, that's why you're seeing this error.
If you already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

  1. Download the 1.5.2 update: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
  2. Open the zip, you'll see 4 folders and a text file

If you crash upon changing your resolution in game, you can change it before launching the game. In Anomaly/appdata/user.ltx look for the vid_mode line and change it to the resolution you like.

Just started a new game after updating. When I try to pull out my Karabiner 98 kurz, it is invisible and unusable. Show weapons is enabled, and only this specific gun is affected afaik. I can pull out my knife and pistol just fine. Also, I can see the rifle in my shadow, just not on screen.

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so.

Then, do exactly this:

2. Disable antivirus temporarily
3. In Windows Defender, add Anomaly and Gamma folders to Exclusions:

Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Exclusions
4. Open GAMMA installer as admin
5. Click Download G.A.M.M.A. data
6. Click Full G.A.M.M.A. installation

A possible fix for busyhands if you have the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod enabled: reduce the auto_switch_distance_start in small increments of a few hundred at a time in \GAMMA\mods\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs alife.ltx.
Start with like 300 or something, then every time you get busyhands randomly, reduce it by 200 more.
If the fix needs to be resistant to changes made by the installer make sure to also modify the alife.ltx file in \GAMMA\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_addons\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs

If you get the bug on first load, try loading the same save again. It loads faster and is less likely to bug.

Vanilla G.A.M.M.A. is considered to be the G.A.M.M.A. modpack as it comes. This means you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2 and have not enabled or disabled any of those, have not enabled any animations in MCM, and have not added any mods of your own.
