ok - so you have Windows Defender. put an antivirus exception on your GAMMA RC3 folder (and also your Anomaly folder):

Open Windows Security
Go to Virus and Threat Protection --> Manage Settings --> Add or Remove Exclusions --> Add an exclusion
Add your entire GAMMA and Anomaly folders

Full GAMMA Installation does NOT remove saves, nor does it mean you are redownloading everything and it won't delete anything at all.
A full install will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall and fix them, and any that need to be updated will be updated.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the installer will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

get yourself a repair kit and right click the gun, if you see maintain parts and you can change the barrel it's the right kit, if you right click and go to details you can see which kits repair the gun

I can't field strip parts from guns and trying to drag and drop a part onto a gun causes a CTD with this error. The weird thing is I'm not even using mags redux but if I turn mags redux on then field stripping and installing parts works fine. Any ideas? Hi everyone! This isn't technically an installation issue, so I'm not sure where to put this. I've been playing gamma for a while now, my current save has easily 40 hours on it, and I just started getting a consistent crash. It happens every time I try to equip a specific duty armour piece, here's the log:

So I (and several other people, as I can see from search results) definitely need help.
Ecologist traders (both Sakharov and Hermann) do not have exo psu recipes for sale at lvl5 supply. Yes, it's been multiple ingame weeks since I've hit 2000 rep with them. Yes, I've checked every restock (kept buying items from them to keep track of it).
Maybe we're missing some other crucial requirements, but from the looks of it (I may not fully understand tradelists), both traders shouldn't even have power supply recipes for sale.
I've checked every sakharov and hermann trade file from every mod in the folder, and I cannot see any recipes for sale in any of them (if I understand it correctly, they supposed to have st_exo_recipe 1, 2 and/or 3).

Oh, yeah, I'm dumb, it's a script injection.

It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect. You can turn it off:
1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left
If these steps do not work and DOF stays enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

To add to this, not using default modlist, but I've tried the fixes as well. I turned off all the sliders and such in the SSS MCM menu, did the r2_dof_enable off console command, which only works for about 10 minutes before it returns, deleted my shader cacher which worked for about the same length of time, before the game turns it all back on, getting ghosting at night like in the attached image as well, not sure if that's related to it.

You can see the effect around the crosses and the sandbags here, like some weird doubling or ghosting stuff, the same thing happens at night, just with every single object, enemy, or NPC. I did all the steps in the DOF fix, and those aren't sticking either, not sure if it's tied to the the DOF effect or is something else.

i've just change the bind, reloaded the game and it works now thanks! I wouldn't have figured out it was unjam weapon. Reload seemed to do it 😄

Imma be honest, i don't see any ghosting.

And ghosting is usually caused by anti aliasing, like smaa or taa/tfaa, but not dof.
Dof would just blur things further away, or also on the sides like what sss does

You can see it in the sandbags where there's like a layered kind of effect, I've never had that kind of thing happen with AA before, but maybe that's it

at night that's literally everywhere, every possible edge and surface is like that

It's present. And tries to execute script but fails, as you can see from part of the log I've referenced. And yes, 359 are active and no X's are present. Tried reinstalling, tried swapping executables with ones from patches. To no avail, unfortunately. I've seen other people with exact problem (no recipes for sale despite having>2k rep and waiting several days) while I was trying to find a solution, so it may be not me alone.

i found this notebook inside a backpack stash in agroprom underground, strelok's hideout. what can i do with it? can i sell it? is it a quest item? if i click "use" (the blue Worn Notebook) it just vanishes from my inventory without adding any info into my pda. for example the "interogation methods" or "military reports" where you get from random monolith or military gets added into your pda after using them.

1. Do you have 359 Mods in MO2?
2. If you do; Look for flags in MO2. Red ❌ beside mods under the flag column.

Was having all kinds of problems getting the game to even start. Finally got that dialed in. Went to load a saved game that I'd migrated from the old installation on another computer. Received the error in the log attached. 359 mods, fresh install.

If you aren't flagged on moddb.. your crash looks like your audio files are fucked. If you installed the update like 40ish minutes ago then maybe it cleared. All I can really tell you is to wait a little while and do a full install again. sorry

maybe if you see a helper/mod ask them
