DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

can anyone help me disable the new DoF mod? ive tried to completely disable it via the in game mods options but no matter what i set it to i still get really, REALLY bad depth of field whenever i ADS. im talking literally everything but whats right in front of my gun becomes blurry, it just feels like an incredibly poorly implemented depth of field mod and i want it gone, GAMMA has become basically unplayable for me because i cant see anything unless i hip fire, which is nonsense.

It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect. You can turn it off:
1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

Stashes now have limited carry weight. To store many items, you need to craft boxes where you'll have more space to store your loot. This change was made so that base building mechanics has an in-game purpose.
It forces the player to think about what he/she chooses instead of piling up tons of useless weapons that worsen loading times, inventory opening times, it also makes the game "lighter," all stuff related to make the game more "quicker".
If you don't like this change or maybe you're in the middle of a run and can't afford/don't want to use straight away the hideout feature, you can enable this mod under G.A.M.M.A. Fixes called "Unlimited Stashes Weight".

I have the feeling that very few stalkers traverse the area. I see some here and there chilling at the campfire.
Is it just because I'm still early in the game or did something change?

I must say that I decided to switch to story mode instead of freeplay this time. Is there any difference?

early game stalker spawns can be... weird, I find it tends to even out after one or two in-game days as more squads spawn in.

You should always play in story! It's basically still a sandbox except you don't have to debug yourself the psy-helmet to go north now.

there is no point at which you ever have to do any of the story quests

Hi folks. I have freshly installed both Anomaly and Gamma, but am getting the blackscreen issue (screen is black, but menus and inventory are visible). I tried all of the steps in the blackscreen help section - double-checked versions, deleted shaders, re-sintalled files, etc, but the problem persists. I have tried all DX10 & 11 launcher options, and am running in admin mode. My mod count is 358.
My computer has DX12 installed.
Does anyone have advice for me?

yeah, about that... no symptoms of this bug at all. i searched around before asking. i am not talking about disabled animations. i have no animations at all. water, vodka, bread, every kind of medicine and food - i hear noises, camera is shaking, but visually - nothing happens.

clean save. 358 mods. reinstalled gamma, reinstalled anomaly and gamma, animations are active in mcm.
