Yeah, only thing I can think of other than a hardware issue is GPU getting too hot and forcing a restart, I did have issues with my PC restarting randomly, but I replaced the faulty PSU that was causing it over 2 years ago, other than that I've had no issues aside from the occasional total freeze when I'm running too much stuff or alt tabbing a lot with games that don't like it

this bug happens to me very often where i'll be fighting and then all of a sudden it's like i've holstered the weapon, and i lose the ability to unholster of switch to any other weapons, when i use F1 through F4, it briefly shows my weapon in my hands, but then bugs out and places the weapon model in my hands overlapping the first aid kit, then when the animation is done, i still am bugged without the ability to shoot, anyone know the cause or a fix?

I dont know if this is the right channel for this but I was wondering if something happened to the FDDA animations after the latest update. After i updated i no longer have the options in mod menu to turn on or off various animations, and the backpack/ mutant skinning ones just dont play now. All the food and drugs work fine tho. I'm not talking to you about animations. Let me lay out your options. You are running an outdated version of the modpack. That is what I can tell at this point. That version is known to have issues. Either a update or b load old saves. If that doesn't work then new game. I promise you there is only 1 person on our staff that knows this better than me, and that person is going to tell you the same thing.

Also it should not take 4 hours to update. Updates are not large. Hit download gamma data and full gamma install.

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

Much easier to repair armor than guns: you don't have to replace individual parts, just buy sewing kits and use them, overall condition improvement spills over to parts

Hello, got something weird. I just started a new game, loner faction, started in the rookie village and doing the tutorial missions with Wolf. Seems like at some point the entire rookie village became hostile to me for some reason because when I got to the artifact hunting tutorial, after Wolf gave me the container and some bolts a group of loners I should be neutral with started shooting at me. Only thing I can think of that might have caused this is maybe Wolf caught a stray bullet while we were fighting mutants. Not a huge deal if I have to start a new game I guess, better now than later

Creating this message for future linux users using the search feature:
Was able to get Anomaly running after running the installer on windows first. When launching the game all menu items were glitched and the game instantly crashed. I Installed the following via protontricks:

• vcrun2019
• d3dcompiler_47
• d3d11_43
• d3dx9
• dx8vb
• dxvk
• quartz
• vcrun2019

I was able to create a character and spawn in, game ran smoothly on high settings however it stuttered extremely frequently. Enabling the stutter mod & pre-loading sounds did not help. I also tried setting renderer=vulkan to potentially assist and while it made the stutters seem less frequent they were still there. I was using GE-Proton7-37, putting this on hold for tonight, unsure where to go from here. Hoping for a solid lutris script at some point.

jeah that part i have done, in the area the RF receiver beeps, but its a radius where there is no change in the sound or speed at which the sound occurs, and the speed at which the beeps come is constant, where when i first worked with the RF, it got faster the closer i got to the package until i basically stood on top of the package

I keep getting hit with a crash and "Application AnomalyDX11AVX has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware". I've tried setting both "AnomalyDX11" and "AnomalyDX11AVX" to "Run as Administrator" but doing this makes it so the game won't run at all. It won't even start. I don't even get the splash screen before the game boots.

Disabling fullscreen optimizations as recommended in the "troubleshooting" thread works (and definetly improved crashing frequency), but setting it to Run as Administrator doesn't even get me the splash screen start up.

I'm running an AMD 5700XT and a Ryzen 5 3600 (if that matters)

According to the crashlog, the game doesn't actually crash, so this is extra weird.

The way stealth is handled in a-life is that if they don't see you initially, they'll NEVER enter an alert state if such thing even exists in the game. They either see you or they don't, and in the latter scenario, you can literally pick them off with a silenced sniper rifle and they'll never look for you

I've got the default mods, sitting at 336 installed. Nothing added and no problems at all during install (first time playing a modded game that things went smoothly lol)

New saves, old saves... the problem happens just infrequently enough that it's incredibly hard to replicate. I did once have a crash like this right when I saved, and loading the game up, I didn't instant crash. Game loaded up like normal

check the PDA if theres are red icon somewhere, if it is theres a NPCs roaming still if not, re-read the quest dialogue

I use my mouse wheel to scroll up and down in my inventory/stash and every once in a while, the scroll will just go absolutely slow. Like, normally, one click of the wheel down and the stash will go down one line, but sometimes the scroll will go down like a tiny tiny tiny bit. Loading an old save fixes the glitch, but it makes me curious, is this a known thing? Am I maybe inadvertently hitting a hotkey that I'm not aware of? I have no idea what triggers it.

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

Alrighty - went through the complete install following the video. Got to the menu (which was pretty blurry) and turned on Borderless. Messed with some graphics options and was able to "play" the game, albeit stuttering and really poor performance (My machine is fairly good, 3080, nice CPU., NVME SSD, etc). Tried to turn down things like grass, and suddenly the game is unplayable (even at the menu). Menu is also very blurry. Complete uninstall and reinstall, again following the guide........
And now I can GET to the menu, it works, but when launching into a game, it's just a blank black screen. I can still HEAR the game audio, and I can see parts of the hud........
Any thoughts?
