If I'm launching a missile, at a cold target, it's cause I know they're in my minimum escape range. If they're flying hot, they're gonna eat it. If they're notching, it means they're out of the fight for as long as the missile still tracks

If it's out of hitting range, it gives them something to think about while they go defensive
