#How does temporary pose space work?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask since it's not completely gogo related, but i don't know where else people might have this knowledge.

I wanted to try my hand at making my own animations but first i wanted to test the pose space behavior, but i can't figure out how to get it to work at all. I made a single frame animation that just moves my avatar into the air, and a state toggle for temporary pose space. But activating the pose space just makes my avatar sorta hunch over while my view remains in the same spot. I've tried looking at the sitting animator and mimicking stuff that's done in there, trying with tracking disabled/enabled, trying with write defaults disabled/enabled, tried moving the toggle from the fx layer to the action layer..

So far everything i've tried just results in my avatar hunching when i enter temporary pose space. I have no idea what i'm doing.

Using pose space you need to be careful with the delay/timing

Too quick or too slow, your view point won't match the root of your humanoid of the animation clip
