Lock AP round should not fire at enemy infantry targets. It's silly to have this mechanism but it's firing onto Ai Infantry. Also, despite having it locked on AP, tank / at gun will still priority infantry over tanks. This should be fixed.

I have the exacty oposite problem, vehicles and tanks always switching to HE ammo while there are armored targets nearby.

@lunar delta Hidden trick is to right click on AP round. It will lock tank using AP only.
But problem is what I state above will happen.
Also if you want early targetting system, so tank / at gun can fire early, further & before getting shot. Use Fire at Position, right click on enemy tank (If select HE ammo, swap with AP).

Sometime it work, some time doesn't. It's take a while to get around it.
Actually this mechanism is for HE, acting like Artillery. But AP can do the trick also. You won't get this Fire at Pos icon if you run out of HE
