When I go to make a new game it partially loads as if it is going to make a save file but then it boots me to the Xbox Home Screen. Why is this happening?

When I had the game before it worked totally fine.

Can you confirm the version number you see on the Main Menu?

Hrm... that's definitely weird. Just a couple things to check:

Are you connected online?
Do you have available storage space?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Techtonica, and doing a full Xbox power cycle?

I am connected online, and have available storage space. I’ve even reinstalled the game. I haven’t done a power cycle though.
