This has been mentioned in the past but I can't remember the exact distance of space you need. All you can do is try raising your platform until it works.

I believe for threshers (v0.1.0f) there is a 2 space in all axis, and 1 for assemblers. I think threshers have been updated to 1 in v0.1.1 but I cannot confirm.
