#Getting fuel without overflow of junk?

I've found two ways to get plant matter, both using a planter through two threshers and either stopping there for silverthorn or putting the fibers into an assembler for the other plant. But both processes leave a pile of extract.

I've tried dumping the extract into a box, but there's so much of it I end up having to keep up with manually emptying the box regularly, which feels like I'm doing something wrong. I could also be processing enough of the extract to not have a build-up... but that just pushes the problem to a pile of limestone or coolant, which admittedly is smaller, but still seems overcomplicated for just automating the fuel needed to make iron/copper bars.

Am I missing something?

You can further use that limestone from extract to make dirt and then planters, then you can send those planters through a thresher to reduce down to 1 iron ingot per planter. Recipes are going to change significantly next week though.

I'm having the opposite problem I have far too much plantmatter I've set up a smelter system that I can dump plantmatter into for fuel just to get rid of it lol
