#Question for the Devs: Why does the miner mk2 require electric but the smelter mk2 use bio?

Okay, so here is some general figures in the process of metallurgy, how they affect the game is down to dev decision.
The energy to melt copper at it's melting point on earth is about 40,000 J or 40MJ of power.
The energy to rotate a titanium drill bit varies, but based on the size of the head on the miner it would only need around 14.7 MJ.
So it's easier to electrify the miner than the smelter due to the sheer volume of power needed to run a set-up, and remember most places have lots of smelters to keep up with processing demands.
Where this help at all or not, I don't know but the info may be helpful to someone.
With ore being finite player need to move drills time after time, so to make it convenient for players electric drill appears earlier in game, it is easier to move drill with 1 outgoing belt compared to fuel + outgoing belt
You can mass produce bio bricks with mining limestone veins, they never deplete and you can do it even at mk1 that's what I have going and it's working for me, I just set up some conveyors from a storage container that has all the made biobeicks in its go out to everything that needs fuel
This might trouble you (but don't worry) all ore veins delplete but vewy vewy slowly
Damn well that's something I didn't know lol
fun fact it would take 5000 hours and 5000 miners to deplete the entire map
I replied to your tec question btw π
5,000 so that's around 210 days
OK thanks
Yeh you have a bit of time π
i think it should be realistic enough but burning biobricks just releases CO2 in the cave and I am assuming we all die
or very cloudy/smokey
we have a 'space' suit π
Yeah it's kinda weird that the space suit doesn't need food, water, doesn't speak and just follow orders from the cubes
Are we robots?
depends on what atmosphere is on Calyx what composition of gasses, so far all human bodies were in full suits
That be crazy if the story pivots to that
Also respect to the doctor who reference
agreed
Sounds like you're hunting a wascal wabbit π€£
you nailed the reference π
Any boomer who would miss that never watched Bugs Bunny π’
I'm actually...
