Much as I love the Mining Drill Mk II, the Fast Inserters cannot unload them nearly fast enough to stop them becoming completely full and having to be emptied manually to get them working at full speed again. Is there a solution to this?

Honestly inserters in general feel weirdly slow in this game for most of the tech tree. So many machines where you need to line up 3 or 4 per item to get them ticking full speed.

Nope, can't see them, all the higher up items just say locked.

doozer tier 8 is where you unlock the ability to use stack inserters, but you have to scan 5 of them in the world in one of the places that are behind a locked door
you will also find the mk 2 miner, mk2 assembler, and mk 2 furnace in teh same location to scan

I found the MkII Miner, haven't unlocked the other doors yet.

i used 3x fast inserter on my mk2 miner, seems just about fast enough to take all the ores out
