Do we have to keep research cores in a composer? Can I delete ones after I've used them? I've read conflicting answers to this elsewhere... but I'd rather not have 20 conposers stacking them endlessly everywhere if I can just keep reusing one or two then deleting those cores to make room.

yes you can move the composer after its done , if you delete cores you need to replace them

You can remove the composers as long as you leave the cores

The 500 stack in it is just its internal inventory being full

So erase the composer and laying it down again will remove the massive purple tower?

no

No it leaves the cores and gives you any unused ones that the composer hasn’t placed

So I MUST have this mushrooming tower of purple balls spreading around is what you're saying haha.

you can remove layers if you want but all the cores need to be replaced somewhere or youll be in core debt

Yep the general advice if you have any system spec issues/lag is put them in a out of the way place.

I just have purple in my starter base and blue above the powerplant

I prefer to build in games like this for functionality but also keep it aesthetically pleasing. I'll have to figure something out.

depending on how much youve expolered eventually youll find a perfect spot for the core towers

You can always cut away at the tower so you can build around it or make it look better, it just means replacing cores elsewhere.

There’s likely to be some rebalancing later the current composer is a work in progress that was added to save having to manually place them.
