Co-op partner will disconnect around every 2-10 minutes in game. His client will assume its still connected and he will lose progress after a few minutes.

I've been having the same/similar issue with silent disconnects.

Some details that might help in debugging:

  • Both me and my friend are running via Steam, no VPNs.
  • Sometimes the connection survives for 30-60 min, but usually disconnects within 10 minutes.
  • This has been going on since the very start but might correlate with game activity. Just running around seems to work better vs. constucting things, but this might be purely concidental.
  • After reconnecting things work fine (for a while), but missed state is lost.

I've been doing some packed captures and they all show this behavior:

  • I stop receiving STUN binding responses.
  • Non-STUN traffic keeps flowing just fine (for some seconds), so the connection seems stable.
  • Both clients starts spamming STUN requests but I am not receiving any responses to mine.
