GOTH (Ground Over The Horizon) is a highly optimized, high-performance Harmony injection mod for Nuclear Option that drastically buffs radar detection systems, eliminating their inability to detect high-altitude threats at long ranges.

At the core of GOTH is the Multi Orbital Mapping & Monitoring Yield (MOMMY) sub-system. MOMMY dynamically adjusts the internal math of the vanilla radar engine, ensuring that both airborne and surface-based air defense systems remain highly lethal over the horizon without causing exponential math errors or tanking framerates. Because sometimes, SAM sites just need their MOMMY to help them see.

`The Nuclear Option vanilla radar relies on a "Signal Strength" equation that mimics real-world physics (the 4th-root decay law). Normally, radar systems have a hardcoded maxRange and a minSignal threshold that prevents them from detecting distant targets regardless of altitude.

GOTH intercepts the CanSeeRadarReturn function and applies a series of dynamic multipliers before the engine calculates the signal score:`

My testing results are 90km spot for Ifrit at 1km height and Stratos firing at 75km with 15% success rate (Ifrits use CMs and notch).

Ifrits are AI packed with QoL munitions like mini demo bombs on wings (non-stealth).

Fun fact - Ifrits using notch+EW actually stop being tracked! Not just missiles lose them, but datalink loses them.

Basically, the game's radar system works by inputting distance, tgt altitude, tgt RCS, max range into an equation
If that resulted in numbers bigger than the fixed min signature of 0.500

  1. The emitter spots and tracks you (yellow blip)
  2. If sufficiently equipped, use it as firing solution (red blip)

I'm gonna rephrase, I think I would like that. The base game system is great and good for players who aren't as versed in air combat, but I think a mod to change the bvr combat to be more hardcore and unforgiving would resonate with a crowd like me (huge nerds)
