#Shot down pilots not falling to the ground under parachute. instead they are floating mid air.

Bro is just a strong independent pilot who don't need no aircraft
I see this all the time in the big dedicated PvE servers. It really frustrates flying rescue missions.
Tried it; doesn't work.
If they're less than 200 meters high you can land right under them (where they should be if they were on the ground) and pick them up
That does work! But obviously it's still a big that needs to be fixed.
Yeah, seems to have been an issue for a while, specifically in multiplayer and if you are not the host. I want to get back to rescuing pilots a bit more often too ๐
he's crazy frog
Should be fixed by now
๐
It still ain't fixed. ๐ซค
Still not fixed as of the 10th of February, after the February 4th update that was supposed to fix it
you can crash into them lol
My current work around is to target the floating pilot with an agm48 and fire. Then land where the agm48 leads you, right in the crater, to rescue the pilot.
That is an insane workaround
lmao, AGM-48, the pilot tracking device
he is aura farming
how did you discover this
He's just floating there... Menacingly !
i was experimenting with the floaters with the ibis. i tried to winch them in air (you cant) tried to collide with them in air (you cant, they are occluded by the cockpit too so they don't even appear to phaze into the craft), then i fired agm48s at the floater, they all went to the same spot on the ground, i figured the AGMs were telling the truth, they were.
how much freetime do you got dawg
or you might just be a genius
Does this lead anyone to believe that the pilots are landing , just not being updated server side?
I haven't tried it , do the agm basically land under them?
iirc it was not directly under the pilot. pilot was over water, i rescued them on land
it was close enough that the pilot could have ejected at high speed and landed there normally once the chute deployed, but not directly under.
again iirc, it was a while ago
i do know it wasn't a dedicated server, someone was hosting free flight. idk if that helps
Yeah that's good bug reporting and does help, I myself have never seen this in single player
