QoL mod which should benefit colourblind players, plus the ability to toggle player names on and off. (Player names appear above the aircraft triangle symbol in online matches, for better situational awareness of who is who.)

All is configurable in the BepinEx Configuration Manager by pressing F1 in-game. You must have that mod installed or it will be left as defaults.

Features include:

Retinting of firendly, enemy, and neutral units/buildings,

Retinting of friendly and enemy player names.

Retinting of enemy AA units separately.

On/Off Toggle to show player names in both HUD and MAP separately.

Love the mod. Works great so far!
I have a suggestion though,
Would you be capable of having a setting to change brightness of the Icons too?
I would still like to use Red for the Enemies, but I have a hard time seeing red because it looks faded in the default game.

Seems Yellow is also used for the Flashing of new units being spotted, and missiles heading your way.

If I remember right that's an image material thing, the default material for hud elements is additive, which means that even at 100% opacity elements still appear somewhat transparent (by design)

Is it possible to also fix units hiding under road's textures on Ignus?

Yes, the A slider is for opacity, they are all at max by default.
I can have a look at maybe trying to make the icons solid without transparency, so they no longer blend into the roads on the map, and look unsaturated in the HUD blending into clouds.

Is it possible to have an option to label the airfields with their name on the map @next kettle ? I am assuming if it is possible that it would only be for vanilla and not custom mission made ones.

At the moment the only way to see their name is to fly near them or to be on the spawn screen.

From my testing, setting your "Wing color" does change your own planes icon, but planes still stay set to whatever "Friendly units" is set to in Vanilla Icons

It's my first time installing a mod for Nuclear Option, I've used BepInEx before. This mod seemed like a necesity!

Upon installing, if I join a multiplayer lobby I am unable to join a team. Have any of you encountered this issue before?

Found the issue on my end, I didn't change the "false" to "true" in the bepinex config, that's on me

i have put vanilla icons plus onto github now, not sure how the nuclear option mod manager intergration works.

late to this but it's nice to see! a manifest needs to be added to NOMNOM, i'm happy to help with that if you like, i just need you (mod author) to give the okay to get it approved by the Powers That Be

@next kettle upon reviewing, one change is required: the file in the release must be a .zip for mod managers to handle it correctly, no raw .dll files allowed. but you can just manually zip it and add it to the existing release

changes have been merged upstream and your mods are now available on NOMNOM. if you need to make updates in the future, simply make a new 'Release' in github with a greater version number and NOMNOM will automagically notice and update. anything else, contact me. ty for holding together the fabric of our little community with your mods and code
