Self explanatory. Remove Chicane wings when wing pylon weapons are selected as empty. Even lower observability at the cost of weapon payload.

This would probably just be a player trap, sacrificing (almost) the entire payload for almost nothing. Is the enormous always-moving propeller not the main contributor to the RCS of a helicopter?

@quaint coyote per Nuclear Option standards, a lower RCS as well. Their version of rotor blade RCS physics/acoustics-modeling aside.

It's no different than internally loading an Ifrit or Vortex instead of loading the pylons as well. It's all tradeoffs and what you want to do.

it's a good idea but just like revoker, medusa, and other pylons, the model wasn't designed for it and it'd cause liveries to (most likely) be broken on the new patch

however the compass pylons are freefloating and imo should be removable despite having little gain

Unrelated to the particulars of the chicne, I hope the devs are willing to break liveries if a plane truly needs a redesign. Being confined to a flawed design because you're afraid to break user made optional extras is such an unnecessary handicap.

I'm not advocating for modifying the chicane at all. The vortex and darkreach, well, what a wonderful story for a different thread.

Whatever else is going on with the darkreach, it needs a facelift. Mitch is a better modeller now and the darkreach just isn't up to par.

you could purposefully detach the "wings" mid flight but you'd have to fork out 5m for new ones + lost launchers

for a reference, Bell 360's wings take half of the lift when you transition to forward flight (I have no idea how did I remember that)

The Medusa is incredibly cool I won't ever deny it

I do kinda wish the radome fin disappeared when the radome isnt equipped but its not a big deal

Also I like the ka52 better i think, I like the horizontally seated pilots for some reason

very fair i’m by no means dissing the 52, but theres just something raw and brutal about the 50’s sharp look

I don't remember if the Chicane is PALA or BDF, but if if were BDF, a low-stealth-focused MI-28-esque attack chopper for PALA would be awesome imo, but that's a whole other forum

Here's my solution... base the overall design off European/American designs, but with KA52/KA50 coax control surfaces.

Also for my proposed BDF light attack/recon heli, I think it should have a shrouded tail rotor like the Chicane, and these helicopters; for performance, stealth, and sharing technology with the Chicane. Also shrouded tail rotors look cool

So basically the front of the front of a Dauphin gets put onto a coax for PALA and the tail gets put on a not Little Bird/Lakota
