Add additional information to the damage display to represent the locations, quantity, and next-in-sequence for weaponry.
This would assist in BDA without taking your eyes "off the road" and give a more rapid and comprehensive overview of remaining, fired, or lost weapons without needing to change POV and fiddle with the weapon selector

I'm all for it, although there are some limitations : the image used for all MFDs is 1024x512px, and it is displayed on a small screen surface of your cockpit.
Any text will be garbled and nearly unreadable, so don't expect nice and clean info displayed there...

Understandably for guns we might want to disable next in firing sequence entirely and just mark them as white or yellow, depending on how players feel about it

This would solve the information density issue, the player HUD already communicates what weapon is actually selected and the amount of munitions left, so we only need to worry about communicating about what pylons are selected/expended/next

Ultimately I feel like this is fluff and miscellaneous information the player doesn't need, but I think it'd be worthwhile to help make the cockpit feel more active

I was thinking mostly due to damage, you can lose a pylon of weapons and it would still show you have full capacity on the HUD, so a HUD/HMD element that helps you cross off damaged and lost weapons would help a lot in those fast hectic "death throws" we all make to try to fight off and destroy as many targets as possible

Would also be nice is the firing sequence changed to omit destroyed pylons so it skips the firing of those weapons since they're, well, gone.
Could be HMD or near the Damage silhouette or just both
