#Smoke effected by physics

Hi,

I'm loving the game especially low level close air support in the Cricket and Compass.
One thing I'd love to see is smoke that moves and swirls when aircraft or helicopters fly through or near it.
It would add the the excitement of low level attacks

powerlines getting blown by rotor wash would be peak too

smoke and stuff is currently effected by physics already (see smoke after a nuke detonates) but i don't think most particles would be small enough to allow for smaller scale stuff like wingtip vorticies

however could try animatedmesh stuff like the ones used in the current nuke fireball

Might be a bit too performance intensive tbh

The tarantula is able to move smoke particles already! I noticed it also moves smoketrails from any missile downward.

This same mechanic/force could simply be tied to the wingspan and amount of lift generated by an airplane already.

The thing which is missing is the vortex part unfortunately.

The early demo of rise of flight already implemented wingtip vortexes. 15 years ago.
I was already obsessive enough back then to ask the creator about it in the comments. If I recall correctly he answered that this technology was not used in the end, at least not applied to effect particles. There is at least some kind of simplified implementation, since the wakes of airplanes do create turbulance for planes behind it.

This is one of the early (2006) promo videos of Rise Of Flight. It demonstrates in-game dynamic atmosphere physics.
