Stealth weapon container

KR-67 Ifrit being a stealth aircraft suffers from the problem of small capacity of internal weapons bays, otherwise all the combat load on external pylons greatly increases RCS. Stealth pods can be used to partially solve this problem.

Perhaps such containers have capacity issues, for example three PAB-250 most likely take up too much space to make such a container for them, and in turn one PAB-250 or, for example, a pair could fit into such a stealth container.

In the future, these containers may also be useful for other stealth aircraft.

there isnt even dynamic RCS right now, the ifrit doesnt gain RCS from exposed missiles. If they did add this right now, it would change nothing until that mechanic is introduced. Also, whats the problem with having your cake and eating it too.

weapon RCS is coming soon, and if there's no downside to taking as many weapons as possible then you are always going to take as many weapons as possible

if i got my way, the end result is marginally easier notching, I dont think the world would end if the Ifrit received these.

It does kind of make the Ifrit have the best of everything though; especially vis a vis the upcoming stealth jet which seems to feature all internal weapon bays.

Right now the Ifrit is more of a good at everything aircraft, and adding stealth capability for wing mounted weapons pn top of it carrying what's already a pretty big amount of weapons would IMO be overkill.

It exists, but doesn't change in real time.

That said, I can imagine that the mounting points for the external missiles mean that a 'clean' plane will still have much lower RCS than one that flew with more missiles but fired them off.

I think you are slightly overestimating the stealth technology on the KR-67, considering that the Ifrit costs twice as much as the FS-12 Revoker.

Tbh it isn't nessasary. You can either go full beast mode and that 14 missiles, or make your life easier by reducing RCS, making notching easier. That said, i do wish RCS would affect detection range in a more realistic manner.

In fact, it is very difficult to judge how effective the technology is in a real battle, so that we could talk about realism, but in the game the stealth is quite weak.

It's also getting a stealth counterpart come next update.

So making it stealthier, when it's going to not be the stealth fighter and when it's already got so much going for it, seems more than a bit overkill

My point stands.

These would effectively turn the Ifrit into a "do everything" plane that loads way too much capability into a single airframe for little tangible loss.

IMO the stealth/RCS tradeoff is fine as is, and things like enclosed weapon pods turn what is currently a meaningful tradeoff into one that, in practice, would no longer remain one.

just make the ifrit 200 million lol, done. or just make the pods ridiculously expensive. If you can't balance through effectiveness, nerf through economy.
