So, lets take Ifrit as an example. You have 3 versions of engines 1 is for stealth
less powerful and does not have afterburner for lower ir signature, 2 is for maneuvers
3d thrust vector control and 3 is for speed very powerful engines with high ir signature,
but can take you to insane speeds

Idea good.
But could be very hard for implementation. Its mean devs will need recreate physic and models for players. A lot of work.

We suggested changing of wings, but it wasn't very successful for talk about it

This would very negatively effect the performance and behavior of aircraft and serves no reason besides further blurring the already foggy lines between each aircraft

We really dont need an IR stealth ifrit with pathetic thrust or an afterburning compass Are_You_Kidding_Me

Configuring loadouts already takes arguably too long. Aren't planes also usually built around the capabilities of their engine? It's quite unusual to swap them out and doesn't seem like it would be easy to do on the fly...

Perhaps different variants of the chassis with different engines would work better from a game mechanical perspective, I think that would be a lot less work to make possible. Also seems like it would be a good thing to allow mods to do, if and when we get additional chassis mods?

Replace one of the wingtip mounts with single-use solid rocket boosters. Trigger them when you gotta go fast.
... actually I would like that. It would be hilarious. Probably not useful that often, but hilarious.

Why would you make multiple engines for one aircraft type all simultaneously in service? Do you want to have your mechanics smear their brains pver the hangar walls?

These exist IRL, they're called RATOG (Rocket Assist Take Off Gear) and they're used similarly to JATOs for heavy or overloaded planes to take off of short runways. Otherwise, this idea has been implemented before on planes like the SNCASCO Trident. It's not very efficient as it hogs fuel and is not very maneuverable due to the high speed and limits of human G-stamina. Also they exploded
