Hear me out, it sounds futuristic BUT. We have a warship with a railgun. NASA is closer to having a probe orbit Europa than the US DOD is to putting a big ass magnet gun on a ship and NASA has half the budget. Anyways, the EMP bomb would temporarily make all radar and other electronic things within its radius stop working . So missiles would be unable to track you. But yours would ent be able to track either. Basically sending an area into the early air combat age of gunfights. Your hud would also stop working same with basically everything with electrics. Now you might say “Jamming pods and laser” I say we go for the Nuclear option (Get the pun?) Or we could go the slightly boring route and have all electronics witching the orange sphere of a nuke cease to be.

a few points:
NASA's budget is a tenth of the US Navy, not half. Also the Europa Clipper has none of the material science roadblocks that railguns have.
Many modern militaries already field EMP hardened equipment that can continue to function during and after a pulse, why would this not exist in a future battlefield where tactical nuclear weapons are common.
That said, i would like to see some kind of sensor blackout in the area around a blast due to the interference
