i think itd be a little too op, because each aircraft serves a purpose;the ifrit is a multirole fighter,the revoker is an air superiourity, the darkreach is a heavy bomber and the medusa is an ecm aircraft so i think a plane that would be a straight upgrade to the ifrit just wont fit in to the current state of the game

yes, but the compass is the first unlocked plane and the vtol is going to be between the revoker and ifrit
it'll still have some ground attack capabilities but personally i want to see more specialized, role dedicated aircraft much more than a 5th multirole fighter

Might have something to do with being completely different planes with completely different design philosophies, use cases, weapon loadouts, capabilities, and price points. Just about the only intersection the two have is they can both carry nukes, and the compass can take two scythes. Just because the compass is multi-mission doesn't mean the ifrit is a better compass lol
