A simple tethered decoy to confue both IR and radar missiles for the darkreach and tarantulasince their ability to evade is so much worse than the lighter airframes.

their supply would be VERY limited, intended to use in conjunction with flares/jamming, and could be lost either because a missile went for the decoy instead of going stupid or due to aggressive maneuvers snapping the tether or slapping the decoy into terrain/the aircraft.

for radar yeah it makes sense, but i don't see how it could spoof IR seekers when flares burn at like 3000 F and still aren't a guarantee
