Give a fulfilling reason to use the cricket in late-game by adding the option to arm it with up to two recoilless guns (one under each wing) that fires a small-yield tactical nuke for when a larger yield is overkill (such as wiping out a convoy in a single blow)

chicane too

Large yield is never overkill

we cant just put a Davy Crockett on a plane and expect the accuracy to be greater than a few hundred meters MOA

I feel like Cricket needs some Nuclear armaments, I feel very discriminated when I am flying my prop into the fight and seeing my friends blowing everything up with nukes. Like, I wanna do that too! Maybe on a smaller scale for sure, but still! Maybe 0.2-0.5 kt bombs? Davy crockets sound fun.

Although, there are questions about economy, in a sense that all nukes take the same amount of nuke resource from the pool regardless of their power. I feel that needs to change, but... that's a different topic.

One for each hard point would be badass

the Davy Crockett was 20 tons, of TNT at most it would destroy a vehicle if it was 50m away @grave crest

OP says convoy eliminator. evidently something larger than a davy crocket.

ok so basically what you are saying is just slap two nuclear PIATs on the bottom of each wing on the cricket

languid urchin
#

you could have 50KT rocket assisted unguided tactical nuclear bombs

#

that would do a little bit damage to a convoy

marsh wolf
#

You mean 5?

languid urchin

uh...... suurrrrreeee.....

marsh wolf

Yeah 50 is more than an ALND

well it would kinda be impractical

#

wouldn't you have to get close to fire the nuclear PIAT?(I'm gonna call it that from now on, if you don't mind), like close enough that you would be within in the blast zone of the nuclear bomb?

How do you expect me to have a source, everyone says MOA, im not google or wikipedia

For example, if the point of impact is 3 inches high and 1.5 inches left of the point of aim at 100 yards (which for instance could be measured by using a spotting scope with a calibrated reticle, or a target delineated for such purposes), the scope needs to be adjusted 3 MOA down, and 1.5 MOA right. Such adjustments are trivial when the scope's adjustment dials have a MOA scale printed on them, and even figuring the right number of clicks is relatively easy on scopes that click in fractions of MOA. This makes zeroing and adjustments much easier:
wikipedia. im just asking because the unit makes zero sense

MOA is a unit of angle sometimes used to describe inaccuracy, not a word that means "inaccuracy of something"

anyway thats enough ERRRRRRRRRRRRRM AKSHAULLY from me you may continue

here are two ideas for nuclear armament for the cricket, a low pressure recoilless rifle firing a low velocity spin stabilised 30T tactical nuclear projectile, and a larger 100T unguided rocket assisted nuclear bomb, both get a aim assist when you lock on to a target that gives you where to shoot it that accounts for wind, lead, range, speed ECT

While an extremely small medium range nuclear warhead would be cool...

Yea it'd be cool

Lowkey just want nuclear equipped cricket because I think a game mode where both sides see which one can send the other back to the Stone Age first via nuke cricket would be really fun

can we put a mininuke on the chicane too

1MT nukes for chicane on april 1 please

Gigaton bomb at the end of the round

Maybe a chicane or slow aircraft nuclear weapon could be a mini-cruise missile or rocket boosted glide bomb

That lets them fire it from a reasonable distance away from the blast with enough precision to hit with their super expensive warhead.

how would it escape the blast wave? or is it arched from a distance?

from a distance likely

Also, where is the attraction of playing the nuclear option during a round?

I think a nuclear suicide jet would be more appropriate. Usable once, followed by success and exclusion from the round (you get kicked). I bet hundreds, thousands of players would rather **** everyone on the server once than make progress.

This is incredibly stupid and impractical...which is why I want 4 on each wing and 2 firing backwards at the SPAAG I missed XD.

Sometimes you just want a Wunderwaffe to shoot at the cluster of enemies that have been a wall for the past 20 minutes and 4 respawns.
