If you're going to just whiff a button in neutral to try walling Gio out, try working some 2S in there. It'll clash with her 2D instead of getting you hit with a big CH if you try your own 2D, and it's more active. Doesn't land low, but gives better reward on hit and significantly better reward on counter hit.

If you're going for very risky throws as you have been, you've got to learn either a safejump to follow up on it in the corner and guarantee that you get to keep running your mix or a throw RC combo to convert it into damage. Throws are still good, but they could be much better for you.

Throwing on someone's wake-up is risky. Wild throw instead if you're going for that option and have the time, since you're going to get CH if they deal with it appropriately anyway.

Go for staggers and resets on corner pressure until you've got at least 50 meter to save yourself when you attempt something more risky. As much as it's a joke with me by now, 2K > 2D > Bandit Bringer can be spaced to be even or plus, so I'd recommend it instead of always going for Bandit Revolver. Free (very slow) high/low mix in there too.

The half-circle input for Bandit Revolver will stop you from getting accidental Wild Throws.

most of the throws are failed 2ds

They're working a good chunk of the time. Embrace the blind luck and learn to capitalize on it.
