There are general containers that you can toss virtually anything. Once you close the lid, items stays in place.

Technically there's no limit, you can toss as many items as you can fit. Some small items seems to clip-through, if it happens often please let us know. You can send bug reports via the main menu and attach your save file (there's a dropdown on the menu) so we can reproduce with ease.
