Awaken or new gear?

When I get the 4* rare chest, should I awaken a rare I currently have? Or should I get a new weapon or armor.

awaken it, a0 is gonna be useless except celestial armor and elemental weapons

Actually the 4* rare elemental weapons are really good for A0 too. Celestial Armor is good too.

depends what u have and what u need. but generally people would pick celestial

if u pick elemental weapons is gonna be useless in pvp, if u pick chronos/milky that means u need to awaken it at least a3.

Also, is there anything that just increases drop rates?

if u play in along term, the 10% max hp only will boost a huge cp
