#Achievements not unlocking on Steam post-beta branch

Hard to tell if this has already been reported, but I'm not seeing it and tonight's update didn't fix it.

Description:
I ran the beta branch last summer and collected all of the achievements in game tied to that content. I already had every other achievement completed from the base + DLC content, so this was strictly encompassing Westwoods, Ante Chamber, Mazerella, etc.

When the content officially released and I switched back to the default public branch, none of those achievements unlocked in Steam, itself. You can see the two side-by-side screenshots comparing in-game to Steam UI.

OS: Win11
Platform: Steam
Game Version: 1.14.111 (55804983R)

This should be fixable relatively easily.

  • Make a copy of your save file and store it in another location
  • Delete the original
  • Run the game so it generates a fresh save
  • Close the game
  • Delete the new save
  • Place the old one back in the save location
  • Run the game again

So, this is interesting. I actually handed you the wrong SaveData file in the original post. I found the correct one that's actually dated today and not June of '24 for some reason.

When I remove the correct file, then try to load in the game, I get an "An Error Occurred. Failed to load save data." window. Pressing spacebar, enter, escape, etc. does not bypass this.

I also considered other factors like disconnecting my poncle account and turning off the autosync with Steam cloud and removing those files as well, but none of that seemed to work either.

Any additional suggestions? I could very well be missing something.

Forgot to add the correct SaveDate file that's actually current, in case it matters.

That error is usually caused by not having a save while steam cloud sync is enabled, hmm... I'm not sure unfortunately.

completely forgot to come back to this, but it's all good. hopefully at some point I either figure it out or it fixes itself 🤷‍♂️ thanks regardless
