the random event wheel adds so much to the game in my opinion, but could use a little more to make it even more varied and interesting. for example, here are some ideas for new positive and negative effetcs!

  • positive: “summon ally”: summons a temporary, invincible ally for 2 minutes. the ally summoned will be a random, unlocked character with their starting weapon
  • negative: “box in”: spawns a cube around the player as seen in the map bat country
  • negative: “atlantean”: summons a random atlantean boss enemy that has to be killed in order to get rid of it. drops an egg on death
  • negative: “curse increase”: raises the characters curse by 50 until the end of the run
  • positive: “level up”: instantly grant the exact amount of xp required to level up to the next level
  • positive: “free weapon”: drops a random weapon
  • positive: “vaccuum”: pull all xp to the player
  • negative: “the trickster”: summons the trickster reaper for 1 minute.
  • positive: “bless”: boost a random stat by 15 until the end of the run. this can include curse
  • positive: “grant chest”: spawns a chest, with a luck based chance for it to be grey
  • positive: “train rush”: summons the labarratory train to deal high horizontal damage to enemies
  • negative: “random wave”: replaces the wave with a random wave from another map. the wave summoned depends on the timer
    negative: “snow maze”: for 1 minute, continuously generates an idle snowman maze as seen in the map whiteout
  • negative: “cube maze”: for 1 minute, continuously generates a maze of cubes as seen in the map bat country. cubes will also bounce around the screen, also like in bat country

number 4 should probably be temporarily doubling curse instead of just increasing it permanently

good ideas, but prolly wanna exclude ||room 1665's|| waves from the random wave one
