Some weapons state they are "effected by Speed" in their descriptions. The only problem is that there are two stats that involve speed: Movement Speed and just plain Speed, which effects projectiles. This can cause confusion on which of the 2 stats effect the weapon if not specified. As some examples gotten from the wiki:
-
Spellstring's description states its damage is "multiplied by speed." By that context alone, the player wouldn't know if this meant Move or Projectile Speed.
-
Confodere and its evos: "Speed effects damage."
-
||Sonic Dash||: "Area and Speed increases damage."
-
||Dominus Agony|| states it buffs Speed. This one is less of an issue, as you can easily check which one this is effecting, but still.
-
Thunderbolt Spear: "Every 7th activation triggers a special attack based on speed." This one is especially troublesome imo, since it evos from Wings, which leads the player to believe it's Move Speed despite all of the above weapons referring to Projectile Speed, conflicting with them.
-
||Rune Sword: "Critical damage also affected by Area, Speed, and Duration."||
Another post suggested outright renaming the stats (https://discordapp.com/channels/904353235006017556/1353132011254055082), and while that is a possible solution, I understand that would be a very big adjustment for long time fans of the game to get used to, while also possibly causing confusion among them in its own right. As such, I think simply specifying in these descriptions which one is which would go a long way to avoid confusion, while also not upending the community's terminology for these stats. Funnily enough, Dragon Water Whip does this perfectly, specifying it's effected by Projectile Speed, not just Speed. I think a similar treatment to all of the above weapons would be very welcome.
