Seeing the list of new weapons counting as both red and blue makes me question a whole lot of things.
Alucard Shield, it's red. It's quite literally red.
Luminatio isn't rainbow colored, it's yellow-ish, which either makes it red or no color.
Dark Rift is dark gray, it shouldn't have a color.
Sword Brothers shouldn't have a color. Steel is gray.
The clockwork weapons are mainly yellow, that's neither blue or red.
The hands of Death and the hands of Dracula are neither blue or red. They're gray and black, respectively.
Kick & Punch. Those are purple how?

funnily enough that you told me about this, considering today, I just made a small fix in the mobile editor where the arrow dropdown was black on a red background, so I made it white
i don't edit at all on mobile so i never see the editors on minerva, and usually even if i'm just reading stuff or looking at diffs i force vector on my phone anyway, the diff view is so much nicer
yeah I prefer vector too, but minerva, especially for WG-hosted or Miraheze wikis don't look too bad either

I also noticed that the Guntastrophe's projectiles are just grayed-out icons for Pugnala's guns, the Phieraggi, and the Phaser.

I edited Trident a while ago noting its stat got noticeably changed. When I went back trying to clean up the page and officially document the balance changes. I was confused by Trident and Gungnir current stats changing again in OtC2.0 and realised another round of balance changes hit them.
Thank god for Dezz's github and it logging changes between versions like wikis so I am able to track what stats got changed and when, the when is not official but it at least give us a time the update is definitely live.
Same thing happened with Javelin in the same two updates, but both really do need that much help.

Stat changes is relatively easy to track, any mechanical changes to the weapon that isn't mentioned in the patch note (like little heart chance by Soul Eater got increase) will be impossible to know if it even got outdated.
Not without checking the data again and again every patch, but that's not a realistic amount of upkeep.

some stuff could be automated, like characters stats and stuff in dezz's files could be checked by a bot and automatically edit the relevant pages, but it's not something i've really looked into, definitely possible tho

On 12 June 2025, Final Emperor, Dolores, Macha Alter Ego, Lita Caryx, Kugutsu cost 25,000 to 12,500. Mr. S from 100k to 50k. Kina and Imakoo 1k to 5k. Others are some hidden follower characters get their cost reduced to 0.

It would be convenient for the reader, and then instead of having to list the same weapon twice - once in each category - you can list the ones that are only red or only blue respectively, and then have weapons with both separately

One thing I noticed was that Isaac's theme was changed from "Followers of Darkness - The First" to "Young Nobleman of Madness" with the 2025 update, and he should probably have a changelog to reflect this.
Probably the first time a crossover DLC character had their theme changed with updates.

yeah, the 2 main bosses (blue bat and eye) have their chances vary based on how many things you have
tldr;
- blue bat spawns 10% of the time if you dont have 2 arcana from (any arcana) chest/normal max of 3. when you do, it drops to 5%
- eye spawns 20% of the time, but jumps up to 60% when you have 6 or more passives (or 100 on perkeo...)
- green bat spawns if both rolls fail
as for the arcana cap, merchant and characters that start with arcana increase it, as well as bolero when you get an arcana

oh, just that there is a table showing the limit breaks of it in that section - you're at an awkward resolution where that table is too wide to fit next to the infobox, but your resolution is also too wide for the infobox to be set to full-width and push the rest of the sections fully underneath it

About half of it thankfuly is from Soul Eater and not that much has change, the really tedious part is figuring out how Anura and the tongue/frog part of Dark Frog works because it isn't easy
How the frog spawns for the two weapons are completely different, and I assumed tongue, frog spawn, and aura is three separate attacks, and the morphing stuff is for little heart because eating enemies and healing from them make sense. Californ1a point out tongue attack turning enemies into frogs instead. Anura frog spawn is not straight forward as well, I got stuck on a part about speed dividing interval for a while and determined later it shouldn't affect how the weapon behaves much because it will spawn as much frogs as amount * duration/hitbox delay
For the ||datamind names||, I'd say ignore them until official release

This inspired me to go back to older version to see if I can get my hand on the old tetraforce sprite when it was just a triangle like the old anima weapon sprites. It (and a lot of Directe's Cut stuff) was added when the new engine is implemented (so in theory it should be harder to datamine) but it already uses the new sprite. Unless the dev are generous enough to supply us with the old sprites from the Directer's Cut for Karoma's Mana, Arma Dio, and it, we will never get the hands on it.

some of them don't quite work like the gemini weapons, arcana, and some odd ones like xp gem and coin, but it's mostly working
Friendship Amulet, Experience Gem, and Gold Coin are all unlocked by default in a new save file
haven't done bestiary yet, but that one should also work, tho it'll depend on which enemies have an id set in their variant statboxes
I guess the save file doesn't have like a boolean or the like that would account for whether the player unlocked them in a save file or not, given that they're always unlocked
yea idk, i haven't looked if they're actually listed or not yet, mostly just getting the overall translation between the save file and our tables

How do certain DLC characters’ logarithm-scaling functions affect their corresponding stat growth
Like if I fire 1000 techs with Malevolent Door Spirit in a run, would my output of .25 * log(1000) = .5 translate to a 50% might increase
(similar things apply to characters like Maxim and Vincent)

Revival is one of the player stats in Vampire Survivors. Each point of Revival a player has allows them to revive once upon death with 50% of their Max Health.
The player has 0 base Revivals before modifications. Bonuses to Revival are flat bonuses and thus stack additively.
There is no upper limit to how many Revivals the player may have.

tbh, there are no hardline rules for when something should or shouldn't be checked - we probably should have some kind of definition to go by, but we haven't set any hard staandards for stuff like that
i'd love to have stuff like that more solid and nailed down, but we also don't want to dictate how stuff "should" be done - since it's a wiki it's a community effort, so if someone comes along with different ideas of how it should be displayed or better described, there's the freedom to be able to run with that

Lots of vague parts on how certain mechanics worked was clarified and that's nice to see.

got started on some basic setup for crawlers pages [[Crawlers:Characters]], made some infoboxes, blank navboxes, and got one of the preload buttons set up (when you try to make a new page in the Crawlers: namespace)

Framework.LevelUpFactory.CalculateXpFactor() seemingly gives the total xp needed for the next level, but after level 20 it's different values from expected based on the info on [[level up]], and i can't find where that difference is being added in (or if the level up page info is wrong) - presumably there's a growth % added somewhere, but i can't find it

Total is the wiki's xp calc code (based on the level up page info) and Factor is the CalculateXpFactor() value
if you want to play around with it, feel free to edit [[Module:Experience]] and scroll down to the debug console - putting in p.test() and hitting enter in the console will show this output
you can edit the p.calcXpFactor() function and run p.test() in the console again to see if you can get them to match up (just don't save if you edit p.calcXp() since that'll affect the public/live calc)
for easy navigation a button on chararacter screen would allow easy switch from survivors [red button, with logo] to crawlers [green button with logo]

but the moment we know that these wikis move out from fandom, we'll immediately replace the link from fandom to wherever they move to
like what I did the moment balatro wiki moved out from fandom, I immediately changed the links in a couple of trivia sections from balatro fandom wiki to the wg-hosted one
this is what I propose to how we should approach to links to other wikis, but I believe this is the most pragmatic approach imo

it's a combination of a lua module and js - the module adds a hidden json at the top of the page from inputs to a template you put at the top, and then js/css gadget converts that hidden json into the tabs

oftentimes, the ones with like 5-7 searches are pretty clear, because they are just new exact search terms that aren't caught and redirected by us editors to their respective pages or sections yet
the more popular ones that are left out are ambiguous
and of course, the successful search terms are never listed, but if they were, you'd likely have so many successful search terms with a high number of searches
yeah and there are also a few that are names of things in different languages (laurier is laurel in french I will deal with that within the next 15 seconds)
(also note that just because something shows up in searchdigest, it doesn't mean it absolutely needs to have a page or a redirect - some stuff is fine to just have actually go to search)

right, and even for non-ambiguous terms where redirects can be easily figured out, aren't necessarily urgent to have redirects for either
(but it is still a fun maintenance thing to do)
I can read cyrillic letters and I just happen to figure out that Персонажи (which kinda spells out as "personaji", which is like "personnages" in french) means Characters
(I can also fluently speak French and Arabic btw, being trilingual is a skill that a lot of people from my country have)

decided to make {{giocare}} have their own page
Giocare is a non-playable character in Vampire Survivors. They are introduced in the 1.14 update alongside Westwoods, the only stage that they appear in.
When the player interacts with Giocare, Giocare will ask the player if they want to pay for 1, 5, or 10 spins the Spin the Wheel! minigame. Each spin may give a certain item, event, or the chance to unlock a part of Westwoods.
Still kinda on the fence as to whether the Spin the Wheel minigame should be more throughly documented in Westwoods or the Giocare page
I guess I'll go for the latter, since I already documented Giocare's spin offers there, but once I get back home in like a few hours

but yeah, basically:
each event has a weight (2-3), and sometimes a min level (relevant for "You Win?"/lvl 3 and "Gold Idol"/lvl 5). The game just rolls (weighted, of course) and removes whatever event is triggered from the pool. Once "You Win?" is triggered, all events are added back into the pool
luck doesnt affect the chances since they're all considered neutral events
"You Win?", "Curse of Reh," and "Gold Idol" all have a weight of 2, the rest have a weight of 3

the random generation is seeded, so you can technically look ahead at future days, though for non-admins it takes a bit of extra effort since you can't directly edit the module to preview it with future days' seeds

room 1665 stage type is ???, and the highlight is only picking stages with types "stage", "special", "challenge", or "bonus"... so room 1665 currently can't be picked in the highlight

I was checking the bat country page looking for info about that chunk of diamonds that spawns in a specific point 2 minutes after a diamond maze event but it seems there is no mention about it

Important note: In about month from now, the demo for Vampire Crawlers will be released. This means there will be a lot of things to be covered on the wiki (from what I can tell at least), though Californ1a did already start some basic pages, particularly on the characters (just with what is shown in the trailers so far), but I'm sure there will be a lot more stuff to cover later on.
I'll set a reminder a month from now about this when the demo releases.
i just used the current steam icon for both of them, so the crawlers one should probably be replaced, but the survivors one works well

those should be in now, not a huge fan of needing to prefix everything with .skin-vector and .skin-minerva in [[MediaWiki:Gadget-topIcons.css]], but the only other way i can think of to do it would be to have two separate css gadgets, one for each skin, but it's easier just to keep all the gadget's css on the one page ¯_(ツ)_/¯
