If I go AFK mid-game and the controller turns off, after returning and turning the controller back on, the controller is unresponsive in-game.
It still works for other xbox functions outside the game, so I have to force close the game and then restart it for it to pick up the controller again.

Which Xbox are you playing on?
Did you go AFK in the pause menu, level up screen, or an endless run etc? just looking into this now 🙂

Sorry forgot to add that, I'm on Xbox series X. This happens if I go afk at the pause menu, after I die where it says revive, or at the end game stats screen.

Have you tried using a normal Xbox controller instead of the elite? I've been unable to recreate this issue but I only have normal Xbox series X/S controller
Curious if it's linked to the Elite controllers specifically

I've just tried to test that now and strangely it seems that the issue isn't occuring at all with either controller - after having it happen for over a month. Hopefully something fixed it in the latest update with a bit of luck.
I'll update here if the issue occurs again.
