I managed to get a candybox from level up at lv6, then the minute 1 chest dropped a super candybox. I thought it could only appear in place of gold bags, and I definitely can't get those at this point since I have 4 weapons that need upgrades, so I think this might be a bug?

Super Candy Box can be dropped from any chest after you get a normal Candy Box. If you're playing Trouser, who starts with a Candy Box, the Super Candy Box can drop from ANY chest at random. If you get a Candy Box from a chest, or one is dropped by a Random Event, you can then get a Super Candy Box.

Actually yeah, don't you need a 5 Pull chest to even get Super Candybox?
