Since it’s now possible to get weapons from stages, I was thinking of something like a sword in a stone that’s hidden in a future stage. Dealing damage to the sword in the stone will gradually bring the sword out of the stone, and when it’s out you get the sword as a weapon and a secret character that starts with the sword.
