I've had this issue for a lil bit, i played the game when it first came out on gamepass but then it just stoped working and i never really looked at it again. Today i gave it a quick try and it still CTD'd just said fuck it, if it won't open on gamepass i'll just pirate it since it doesn't really matter at that point, but i'm experiencing the exact same behaviour on that version too (steam rip).

I've tried looking online for where save files are stored but i couldn't find them, and i've tried deleting my appdata/vampire-survivors folder and that didn't help.

Worth prefacing that i'm not asking for support for a cracked game, regardless of which version i use it doesn't boot.

Currently on win10 pro 21H1, using a ryzen 5 3600x and an rtx 3070

Sorry you're experiencing issues trying to launch the game. Please could you tell me which game version you're on?

If you right click on the game in the Xbox App, and then go to Manage, then select Files along the top tabs it shows the version under Installation info.

It would also be useful if you could DM me with a copy of your log files that can be found here: %AppData%\Roaming\Vampire_Survivors\logs\renderer.log

#

Also if you're wondering where saves are stored, they can be found here: <STEAM_INSTALL_DIRECTORY>\userdata<YOUR_STEAM_USER_ID>\1794680\remote\SaveData

I wasn't able to access the menu you've mentioned through the xbox app but i was able to acess the game version through windows, also, i don't have a logs folder under %appdata%\vampire_survivors.

Can't seem to find any save data under that folder either, as in i don't have a ´1794680´ folder in my steam's userdata folder, are gamepass saves stored in the same folder as the steam version?

  1. Navigate to C:\Users\YourLocalUser\AppData\Local\Packages\poncle.VampireSurvivors_9pv5cyp4vwdsr\SystemAppData\wgs\ (if you cannot get to this folder you may need to enable the “show hidden files” option).

  2. Go into the folder with the long name similar to “00090000024BA160_00000000000000000000000065116356”.

  3. Go into the next folder with a long name similar to this “160F3409C7164F65999339E2F896548E”.

your save will be in this folder it will have a long name similar to "DFB0C5FD5D814D6C870A8B6F7784C4CF"
