Locking a channel causes the text chat messages to be invisible

When using the voice privacy command to lock the channel from getting any new joins, the text channel becomes invisible to others already within the channel.

E.g.: Person A creates the channel, B and C join it. A locks the channel and sends text messages, B and C are unable to see them. If Person D is an admin, they can still see the original messages, however.
If the channel is not locked, text chat behaves normally, so it is not a regular permission issue. The only permission that seems to change on the Discord side is "connect".

Is this intended? It feels like this happened recently and I am not sure how to resolve it without removing the voice privacy permission.

As far I understood your explanation correct, its indeed intended, as users have to be trusted to see the in-voice-chat when the channel is locked or hidden.

Its also technically not possible to allow users who are already in the channel to use this chat when they have no permission. So only trusting them with /voice user trust gives them this permission.

So once you lock it, even if people are already in it, they have to be given the trust option? That sounds a bit redundant but I get it
