That module door requires 8 modules from the north region (each region has 8, making for a grand total of 32 to collect in the whole game).

Modules can be hidden. I'll also provide a north related tip if you desire, and say that 2 modules become accessible after killing the north boss. Further details - ||(one requires a specific gun that's given after killing the north boss, the other is blocked off by blocks until you raise the giant north pillar).||
