After ||obtaining a book of BU|| I headed back to Twinsen's house and the chimney access suddenly doesn't work for me. I do remember that at some point the in the original game|| the house got inaccessible (either by setting a fence round the chimney or total demolition ?), but not that early in the game||.
I can still ||access the hidden room through the cave||, but I do remember chimney not being blocked that way.

Yeah, Ben is aware and confirmed this as a bug. Hopefully should be fixed next patch.

So how do I use the key then? I have the same bug. 😦
Edit: you have to use the key.

You can use the key on the door in the cave. That's how I did it you can enter the cave from the beach.
