My Windows Firewall, Avast are exceptioned for diablo 2 resurrected, I do not have d2r.exe listed but the d2 resurrected shows that is the same thing? I posted a few relevent pictures below #chat-d2rlan message

Ok so ya you just made backup...explains the larger sizes.
So i'll be honest, not sure why it's not already in the app list for you...maybe due to Avast or such.
However, it's still fairly easy to fix. Go to firewall settings and select "Allow another app"
Then choose d2r.exe at this location

last time i searched my entire pc for d2r.exe and found the d2 resurrected thing i made an exeption for above, any idea where i should look?

you must also check the "public" checkbox after adding it to the list
