Rewards may not collect correctly or sure proper time at "Next Item Counter"

Steps to reproduce. Tested on Android (I suspect this may occur on Steam or Web Clients as well) will .

1.) Open Client Collect reward play rounds like normal.
2.) Shut off screen so application does not exit but rather stays inactive in background.
3.) Return to game at later time. (my example was~10 hours)
3a.) Notice game will lock up for a minute or so while it resyncs to server(s).
4.) Go check V-Day Reward timer will appear to have paused and be out of sync with server data. Reward will NOT be collectable and will appear to be available in several hours.

*Note: if you restart application the counter seems to reset to normal and you can collect the current reward correct.

I got a response from my report to support:

"The team has been made aware that the Valentine's login calendar timer is not working as intended. The developers are working on a fix at this time and we hope to have it in the game soon. This will bring the timer to only reset every 24 hours. "

Same here in italy, I spent yesterday thinking it was right, but today it was asking the same and I opened a support ticket. It is completely broken and I am sure some ppl are even spending gems to keep the calendar. But why asking 100 gems for 03/02 price when now is 03/02 morning?

Same issue here. Could not collect day 2, spent 50 gems, could not collect day 3, spent 100 gems.

In game kong support we are also pulling stats on those who did make the purchases for past days they shouldnt have had to buy, just to be safe send something to our CS team so we can make sure you are compensated

It is February 3rd, and yet Day 3 will not claim, asking for 100 Gems.

Sorry to here that. On the 3rd day came this explanation. This is not fair. At least at day 3 you should say: we did a mess, the calendar will be free, collectable automatically with the other 2 calendar. This is how love is ment to be💖

I'll admit, it is a leap. But it's also unfair to say that people paying for stuff they want is unfair for people that want the same stuff for free. There is a LOT if goodies in there for free players.

I don't disagree that the implication was that it was all free. I assumed as much as well. When we had to pay 100 for todays rewards, we brought it up as a bug in the mod channels. I found out I had to pay at the same time as everyone else. I'm upset at the poor communication, but can see the intention. 400 gems to get all these rewards is still a good deal.

Damn, can't believe we have to pay gems for some of the rewards. As far as I can tell that was never stayed anywhere. That's a real shame.

Just to clarify @chilly forge is agreeing it's a bad move by Kong, but the point stands that nothing anywhere said it was free. We all assumed that because, in the spirit of love, it probably should have been.
The fact that something costs gems isn't unfair to free players, or at least, isn't any more unfair than having card boxes that cost gems.
The fact that THIS costs gems is unfair to ALL players, regardless of how many gems you have in the bank. An event celebrating love feels like it should give rewards out of love, not by forcing them to pay.

The issue I have is that I paid 50 gems to claim day 1 that I missed (due to not knowing I had to physically click to “claim” it). I did that because I thought I’d have a shot at the final reward just by claiming every day. Had I known I’d have to shell out a bunch of gems for the heart shaped, I wouldn’t have felt the need to spend the first 50. I guess at least the server still works which makes it better than the Archer roll out.

Today is Feb 3rd where we are located, so we should be on day 3 of the calendar. It showed up too early because of the broken timer. Day 4 should be available tomorrow at reset.

Kong dropped the ball on this one.

1. Including the tab with the month and weekly claims.
Users NEVER have to play for those items (afaia) and the event added a new page to THIS. The point of calendar events is to keep the player COMING BACK, a reason to open the game the next day.
2. Making items paid with no indicator.
Main reason people are reporting it as a bug is there isn't any in game indication that there's cost associated with the claims. (Except for today's message announcements.)
3. Stating missed days could be purchaed ADDED the confusion. Not saying I'm against being able to pay to catch back up but it was the only clearly stated cost associated.```

I mean I get it, it's either deal with it or stop playing but is the former really the goal?

i've had to spend gems every time so far with this valentines reward thingy... 😔there's been only one exception, and that was when kong did their patch and reimbursed us for the broken timer... i log in every day like clockwork to get the other rewards and rarely miss... hurry up and please fix this issue kong...
