Before games start, each player is randomly assigned a backstory & debt (just like in the show, where everyone was there for money problems).

Example: “You owe 5,000 coins from gambling” or “You’re in debt because of failed business.”

Debt size affects gameplay:

Larger debt = bigger prize multiplier if you win.

Smaller debt = safer routes in certain games (slightly higher survival odds).

Players can also make deals: trade parts of their prize pool to team up with others, or risk taking on someone else’s debt to help them survive.

Why it works:

It adds emotional immersion that ties back to the show’s core theme (desperation, greed, risk).

Makes each match feel different because you don’t just spawn as a blank Roblox avatar — you spawn with a “story” that changes how you play.

For eg: your debt might be how many times u lost so with each game giving 500-600 coins and let's say you lost 3 times thats roughly 1.5k coins (players don't actually have to pay this off its just for immersion) i think it would make squid game x great let me know your thoughts
